We've got a pretty full Monday slate filled with middle-tier pitchers. With that kind of slate, I generally look to the positive hitting environments, in this case the focus will be on the Rays at Rangers and Reds at Brewers.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 9/17/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitcher
Zack Wheeler - SP, @ PHI ($10,400)
Wheeler’s price tag has risen to the point where he has to have solid win and strikeout potential to make sense in the cash game context. While a win is never particularly comfortable as a member of the Mets, he’s shown the ability to pitch deep into games -- he’s completed at least seven innings in five consecutive starts -- while racking up 39 strikeouts across his last 36 innings. In terms of matchup, the Phillies have hit for a lot of power in the last 30 days, but check in as a below average offense according to wRC+ and have struck out at an above-average rate.
Joe Musgrove - SP, vs. KC ($8,800)
The Royals aren’t the easy matchup that everyone assumes them to be, as they have a number of young players who have come up to hit for power and they have also been exceptionally aggressive on the basepaths. That said, they have also struck out at a prolific rate and Musgrove will have the chance to pitch at home against them. Musgrove has also ramped up his strikeout production of late, whiffing at least seven batters four of his last five starts.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Tyler White - 1B, vs. SEA ($4,000)
White has been exceptional in the second half of the season, but that has been especially true when he faces a left-hander on the mound. Across 54 at-bats this season, he’s hit .315/.424/.630 and also has a history of success against them from prior seasons. LeBlanc has had long stretches of success this season, but has an 8.31 ERA against the Astros in five appearances this season.
Brandon Lowe - 2B, @ TEX ($2,800)
Lowe has only 89 career at-bats to his name, but he has quickly made himself known by slugging .506 in that span. He has five extra-base hits in his last eight games and will now head to one of the best hitting environments in the league with an exploitable price tag.
Adrian Beltre - 3B, vs. TAM ($3,100)
While Beltre has shown little to no power all season, that’s changed over the past couple weeks, posting a .408 ISO through the first half of September. The hitting environment in Texas has already been noted, but it’s a spot to target on this slate.
Amed Rosario - SS, @ PHI ($2,800)
Rosario has taken well to the leadoff spot in New York, and the last 10-game sample is a good illustration of what he’s accomplished. In that span, he’s scored eight runs, homered twice, and driven in five while reaching base in six games. While that’s not worth paying up for, Rosario’s price hasn’t risen to an unreasonable level.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Trey Mancini - OF, vs. TOR ($3,200)
Ryan Borucki has drastic splits when pitching at home versus the road this season, surrendering a .346 wOBA on the road while managing a .298 wOBA when pitching at home. While Mancini hasn’t hit well with the platoon advantage he will likely bat fourth or fifth in a lineup that should put up some runs tonight.
Scott Schebler - OF, @ MIL ($3,100)
Play left-handed hitters at Miller Park. While the Brewers are nearly all priced up, as are Joey Votto and Scooter Gennett, Schebler is not. In 83 plate appearances since the All-Star break, Schebler has posted a .243 ISO and now heads to an advantageous hitting situation.
Also Consider: Nelson Cruz - OF, @ HOU ($4,100)
