We had a small Monday slate last night, but we're back with a massive Tuesday slate tonight. There are plenty of options across all levels of the pricing ranges. It gives us a lot of freedom as players in terms of lineup construction.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 8/28/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Max Scherzer - P, at PHI ($12,000)
Scherzer has been enjoying an elite season, posting a 16-6 record with a 2.13 ERA through 27 starts. He also owns an elite 1.82 ERA on the road, while finding success in two matchups against the Philadelphia Phillies. It's tough to bet against Aaron Nola, but Scherzer is a -121 favorite in a game set at only seven runs.
Lance Lynn - P, vs CWS ($8,100)
Lynn has struggled in each of his last two games, but he had allowed two or fewer earned runs in his four games prior to that. He gets an elite matchup against the Chicago White Sox, who have struggled to hit for power and strikeout at a high rate against right-handed pitching. Lynn is a -246 favorite in a game set at 9.5 runs tonight, as well.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Paul Goldschmidt - C/1B, at SF ($4,400)
Goldschmidt gets a tough matchup against Madison Bumgarner in a pitcher friendly stadium tonight. He has looked elite against left-handed pitching, though, recording a .594 slugging percentage and a .290 ISO against lefties this season. Goldschmidt has also been on fire recently, hitting .410 with a .769 slugging percentage and a 1.258 OPS over his last 10 games.
Whit Merrifield - 2B, vs DET ($3,600)
Merrifield has been playing at a high level for quite some time now. Over his last 10 games, he owns a .385 average with seven extra-base hits (three home runs), eight RBIs, and two steals. He also gets a great matchup against Matt Boyd, and Merrifield is a more consistent and more powerful option against left-handed pitching.
Kyle Seager - 3B, at SD ($2,700)
Seager has been struggling for the majority of the season, but he's a player that possesses tremendous upside. He also gets a great matchup against Jacob Nix, who has struggled early in his MLB career. Seager is not safe enough to be used in cash games, but his price tag is enticing in tournaments tonight.
Carlos Correa - SS, vs OAK ($3,900)
Correa has struggled a bit since returning from injury, but he has been a relatively consistent option that also comes with some upside. He's at a bit of a discounted price tag because of his struggles, but he gets a solid matchup against Edwin Jackson tonight. Correa can be considered in all leagues.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Marwin Gonzalez - OF, vs OAK ($3,600)
Gonzalez has caught fire over his last 10 games, posting a .308 average with a .692 slugging percentage and a 1.049 OPS over that span. Overall, he owns seven extra-base hits (four home runs) and 11 RBIs in those games. He continues to make a consistent option that possesses tremendous upside.
Ben Gamel - OF, at SD ($2,300)
Gamel has struggled quite a bit this season, but he's hitting .346 with three extra-base hits, two RBIs, and one steal over his last 10 games. More importantly, Gamel gets an elite matchup against Jacob Nix, who has struggled at times this season. Gamel has also dominated right-handed pitching, recording 0.095 wOBA and 0.045 ISO differentials against righties. He's an elite option in all leagues for his current price tag.
