FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Justin Verlander - P, HOU vs CWS (FD - $12,200)
Verlander is far and away the best pitcher on this slate and he should be your go-to target for cash games today. He is facing off against the White Sox who have a 24.9% strikeout rate this season vs right-handed pitchers, which is fifth worst in the league. Verlander has been in a rough patch as of late, as he has given up nine earned runs in his last two games, but the White Sox have a team wOBA sitting at .308 vs RHP, so this is a nice spot for him to get back on track.
Johnny Cueto - P, SFG vs STL (FD - $8,300)
Right of the jump, this is a risky play tonight. Cueto is making his first start off the DL and according to reports, he threw roughly 70 pitches last week in a minor league start. We don't know if he as pitch limit tonight, so look for updates throughout the day. He is at home in a great pitcher's park up against the Cardinals, who have a team wOBA sitting at .301 vs right-handed pitchers, which is in the bottom 10 in the league.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Paul Goldschmidt - 1B, ARI vs SDP (FD - $4,300)
Listen, play Paul Goldschmidt tonight. It can be this simple tonight if you want it to be and I have a strong conviction about him. He comes into this game with a massive .452 wOBA and a .373 ISO vs left-handed pitchers this season. Those numbers are beyond elite and he should be your top option in both cash games and GPPs. Not including last night, he has seven hits with two home runs in his last three games.
Carlos Asuaje - 2B, SDP @ ARI (FD - $2,100)
Asuaje is super cheap tonight and will come in with the platoon advantage vs Shelby Miller, who is giving up a .368 wOBA to lefties this season, but it comes from a small sample. Asuaje has hits in three straight games and will get a positive park shift in his favor, even though its nothing too significant.
Jeimer Candelario - 3B, DET vs TEX (FD - $3,200)
Candelario is priced in a great range today and brings plenty of upside vs a historic gas can of a pitcher. That pitcher is Yovani Gallardo, who is giving up a .364 wOBA and 2.70 HR/9 to lefties this year, in a smaller sample size. Candelario has a .198 ISO vs right-handed pitcher this season, so it lines up nicely for him to knock one out tonight.
Brandon Crawford - SS, SFG vs STL (FD - $4,000)
Crawford has hits in six of his last eight games with two home runs, one double, and one triple. He comes in with a .378 wOBA and a .169 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers and is now up against Luke Weaver, who is giving up a .372 wOBA to lefties this season.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Josh Reddick - OF, HOU vs CWS (FD - $2,600)
Reddick is cheap and in a good spot vs Carlos Rodon, who is giving up a .328 wOBA to left-handed hitters this season. Reddick is showing reverse splits with a .324 wOBA and a strong .193 ISO vs left-handed pitchers, even as a lefty hitter. The Astros can put up runs in a hurry and Reddick gets you some nice cheap exposure to them tonight.
Eddie Rosario - OF, MIN vs BAL (FD - $3,700)
Rosario has a .416 wOBA and a .284 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers and is up against David Hess, who is giving up 1.90 HR/9 to lefties this season. He isn't overly expensive, but has hit a slight downturn in power over his last four games.
