FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Robbie Ray, ARI vs BAL ($9,600)
Ray has a great matchup tonight against the Orioles, who have just a .302 wOBA versus left-handed pitching with a 25.9% K-rate. They're also in the National League for this matchup, so they will be stripped of their DH on top of leaving their hitter-friendly park at home. Ray has tremendous strikeout upside with his 30.7% K-rate, although his high walk rate makes him less trustworthy in cash games. Ray is a perfect target as your starter in GPP contests, as he provides upside that only Gerrit Cole can provide for $2,000 less.
Eduardo Rodriguez, BOS at TAM ($8,000)
Rodriguez is another southpaw with strikeout potential to take advantage of. Rodriguez has had some rough stretches this year, but he's coming off back-t0-back quality starts and has a 3.30 ERA over the last month. He faces a Rays lineup that has struggled against lefties, posting a .309 wOBA. Their 26.2% K-rate against left-handers is the third-highest in all of baseball. Monday's starting pitching slate falls off quickly after Rodriguez, so he's your best bet at a value starter.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Jose Abreu: 1B, CWS vs MIA ($3,300)
Abreu has been in a cold stretch recently, which makes him a buy low against Marlins starter Trevor Richards. Richards has a 4.71 FIP, so Abreu should see both run and RBI opportunities against him batting third for the White Sox. While his on-base skills aren't ideal, Abreu's power ability makes him an attractive play, with 21 homers and a nice 69 RBI on the year.
Gleyber Torres: 2B, NYY at MIN ($3,700)
Second base is a black hole outside of the top options, so I have no problem spending on a guy like Torres tonight. Torres is batting .297 with an .880 OPS this season, making him one of the very few reliable hitters with second-base eligibility on FanDuel. The Yankees lineup could have a big night against Martin Perez, owner of a 4.73 SIERA, which would provide Torres counting stats with some help from his savage teammates.
Eugenio Suarez: 3B, CIN at MIL ($3,500)
Suarez has had an incredible last month, posting a 1.013 OPS with nine home runs. He's in line for another productive series in a hitter's park in Milwaukee, with Monday's game against Chase Anderson and his 4.29 FIP. It's surprising that Suarez isn't priced among the high-end third basemen, so keep buying in as long as he produces like one.
Miguel Rojas: SS, MIA at CWS ($2,200)
Rojas is expected to be back in the lineup after pinch hitting last night. He's the cheapest leadoff hitter you'll be able to find, coming in just above the minimum price. Rojas isn't anything special as a hitter but may have plenty of plate appearances against Ivan Nova, who has an awful 5.86 ERA. Even a lineup like the Marlins can be relied on in this matchup, so Rojas and his teammates are great buys for such a low price.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Oscar Mercado, CLE at TOR ($3,600)
Mercado has been a monster fantasy asset over the last two weeks, batting .353 with three homers, three steals, and a 1.068 OPS. He's a catalyst in the Indians two-hole and is particularly effective against lefties, with a 118 wRC+. He faces a lefty in Ryan Borucki and has to be on every fantasy owner's radar with his recent performance.
Jarrod Dyson, ARI vs BAL ($3,000)
Dyson is a cheap leadoff hitter to target in cash games, as his spot atop the lineup gives him a high floor. He should easily score some points against Aaron Brooks and the weak Orioles pitching staff, and he's among the league leaders in steals with 21 this season.
