FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Luis Severino - P, NYY @ KAN (FD - $10,500)
Severino is one of the top arms on this slate and comes in on a very consistent streak. He has put up 40 or more FanDuel points in six straight starts, which is due in large part to having seven or more strikeouts in five of those six games. Really strong showings from him and we should be in for a similar outcome tonight. He is up against the Royals, who actually don't strikeout a lot vs right-handed pitchers, they are down at 16%, which is lowest in the league. But even if he doesn't rack up the strikeouts, he can limit the damage with his 51% ground ball rate vs righties, and 42% GB rate vs lefties.
Nick Kingham - P, PIT vs SDP (FD - $8,600)
Kingham has two impressive starts this season, where he has racked up 16 strikeouts in 12 innings pitched. He has the ability to continue that trend today, as he is up against the Padres, who have a 27% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers, which is dead last in the league. He has picked up the win in both starts which is nice, but not a huge factor. I would look at the fact he went into the seventh inning in his first start and into the sixth in the second. Love the fact they are letting him go a bit, which will only help his fantasy points.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Freddie Freeman - 1B, ATL vs MIA (FD - $4,800)
Freeman was a bit of a bust last night, but its time to go right back to the well and roster him tonight. He comes in with a .413 wOBA and a .219 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers and is in a good spot to go deep tonight. He is up against Jose Urena, who is giving up 1.61 HR/9 to left-handed hitters, which should play right into the power upside for Freeman.
Cesar Hernandez - 2B, PHI @ STL (FD - $4,100)
Hernandez has two hits in each of his last three games, so a bit of a hot streak starting. He also has two home runs in this three-game span, so not only is the consistency there but the power upside is really starting to show up. He is up against John Grant for the Cardinals, who is giving up a 37% hard contact rate this season, along with having a walk rate sitting at 10%.
Kyle Seager - 3B, SEA vs DET (FD - $3,500)
Seager's price rarely seems to fluctuate too much, so you are always able to slot him into your lineups, which you should be trying to do today. He comes into this game with a .316 wOBA and a .250 ISO vs right-handed pitchers, which will line up nicely against Mike Fiers, who is giving up 3.18 HR/9 to lefties this season. Not that expensive and has the power to go deep tonight.
Max Moroff - SS, PIT vs SD (FD - $2,300)
Moroff has been seeing some time in the leadoff spot for the Pirates, and at his price, he is hard to pass up. Not really a punt play, since he has some good numbers vs left-handed pitchers, but the savings he brings can really help the rest of your lineup. He has a .340 wOBA and a .250 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers, but take note, this is from a bit of a smaller sample size.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Joey Gallo - OF, TEX @ CWS (FD - $3,300)
Gallo certainly isn't a safe option in the outfield, but the power upside he brings can overcome a lot of his shortcomings aka a 32% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers. He has a .260 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this year and has hit nine of his 13 home runs against RHP. His price is very appealing since he isn't expensive and will have the platoon advantage today.
Giancarlo Stanton - OF, NYY @ KAN (FD - $5,000)
Stanton has hits in seven of his last eight games and looks to have turned around his slow start to the year. Tonight he has a great matchup in front of him, despite this being a negative park shift for him, as he is away from Yankee Stadium. He has a MASSIVE .651 wOBA and a .676 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers. Holy cow that is a big number and with his multi home run upside, you have to like him tonight.
