The 2019 MLB season is finally upon us as opening day is Thurday. Luckily, FanDuel kept this one full slate, and we have 14 games. The games start between 1 and 4 PM EST, and we should have the majority of lineups out by the time the first game begins. With this being such a large slate, there are an extremely high number of elite options that can be considered.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/28/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Aaron Nola - P, vs ATL ($10,400)
Nola was an elite option in Philadelphia last season, posting a 10-2 record with a 2.34 ERA and a 10.6 K/9 through 17 home starts. He gets a tough matchup against the Atlanta Braves, but Nola can be favored when throwing at home, especially early in the season. He's also a -180 favorite in a game set at only 7.5 runs. As a young pitcher, Nola should continue to develop this season, and he can be used in all leagues on Opening Day.
Eric Lauer - P, vs SF ($7,200)
It's a bit surprising to me that I'm recommending Lauer, but he makes sense on this slate. He was a rookie last season, posting a 3-4 record with a 3.99 ERA and a 7.4 K/9 through 12 home starts. He should continue to develop this season, while getting more run support from a better offense. Most importantly, Lauer is a -115 favorite in a game set at 8 runs tonight. He's far from an elite pitcher, but getting a win for this cheap would allow you to find elite hitters on this slate, which would be a great contrarian route to consider for tournaments.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Justin Bour - C/1B, at OAK ($2,700)
Bour generally isn't seen as a high end player, but he comes with tremendous upside for his current price tag. He gets a plus matchup against Mike Fiers, and he owns 0.088 wOBA and 0.152 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching. Bour is expected to hit third in the Los Angeles Angels lineup, adding to his upside. He's a powerful player, who comes with home runs potential, and he's a strong option in all leagues for his current price.
Yoan Moncada - 2B, at KC ($3,100)
Young players tend to develop at a faster rate than older players, and that could be the case with Moncada, who was recently seen as an elite prospect. He was at his best against right-handed pitching in 2018, as he hit .244 against righties. He also recorded 47 of his 55 extra-base hits against righties last season. Moncada gets a plus matchup against Brad Keller, and he's an option that makes a solid option in all leagues, although he may be best suited for tournaments.
Miguel Andujar - 3B, vs BAL ($3,700)
Andujar gets one of the best matchups on the slate, as he'll face off against Andrew Cashner in an extremely hitter friendly stadium. Andujar found plenty of success against right-handed pitching, as he posted a .309 average against righties. He also flashed tremendous power [and upside] against right-handed pitching. Andujar is hitting in one of the best lineups in the MLB, and he should see plenty of opportunities for runs and RBIs. He makes a strong option in all leagues because of this matchup.
Adalberto Mondesi - SS, vs CWS ($3,800)
Mondesi will hit leadoff for the Kansas City Royals, and he will come with elite steal upside. He gets a strong matchup against Carlos Rodon, who struggled away from home last season. The matchup against a lefty may hinder Mondesi's steal potential on Opening Day, but he has been a more consistent option against left-handed pitching. He isn't going to come cheap, but Mondesi comes with elite upside, and he's an outstanding tournament option on this slate.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Corey Dickerson - OF, at CIN ($2,800)
Dickerson was a player that was at his best against right-handed pitching last season. He posted a .302 average, while recording 12 of his 13 home runs against righties in 2018. He gets a plus matchup against Luis Castillo, who struggled at times last season. Dickerson will also be playing in an extremely hitter friendly stadium, and he's surprisingly cheap. He makes a consistent option, while also possessing upside in this matchup.
Max Kepler - OF, vs CLE ($2,500)
Kepler is expected to bat leadoff for the Minnesota Twins, adding to his value. I'm expecting a breakout season for him, and it could start on Opening Day. He gets a tough matchup against Corey Kluber, who struggled at times against Minnesota last season. Kepler isn't safe enough to be considered in cash games because of the matchup, but he makes an outstanding tournament option for his low price tag.
