FanDuel Quarterbacks - Week 15 DFS Picks
Cam Newton (vs. GB, $7,900)
Newton has been limited in his pass attempts of late, having attempted fewer than 30 passes in four of his past six games. However, Sunday’s game against the Packers has potential to be a shootout with a total of 47, one of the highest on the main slate. That puts Newton in a good position for high volume and with the Packers allowing four, two, and, three touchdowns over the past three weeks that should put Newton in line to produce multiple TDs.
Case Keenum (vs. CIN, $7,400)
In contrast to Newton, Keenum offers some cash game safety, as he has scored at least 16.98 FD points since Week 8. Meanwhile, the Bengals rarely allow big games to opposing quarterbacks but also consistently allow around 20 points. That’s a nice combo that should turn into a solid yet unspectacular game for Keenum, perfect for a cheaply priced QB in a cash game.
FanDuel Running Backs - Week 15 DFS Picks
Kenyan Drake (@ BUF, $6,500)
This price tag has to be a joke. In two games without Damien Williams sharing the backfield duties with him, Drake has gotten 26 and 30 touches respectively and 141 and 193 total yards respectively. Indications are that Williams will not return this week, which should keep the workload squarely on Drake’s shoulders in a positive matchup. Drake is a cash game lock.
Latavius Murray (vs. CIN, $6,200)
Murray had a less than inspiring performance in Week 14 against the Panthers, but they have given opposing RBs a tough time all season. This week, the game script should benefit Murray, as the Bengals appear to have mailed it in for the season. They have allowed 5.63 yards per carry over their past three games to opposing RBs. As it currently stands, the Vikings are 11 point favorites heading into the Week 15 matchup, meaning the game script should favor a heavy workload for Murray .
FanDuel Wide Receivers - Week 15 DFS Picks
Brandin Cooks (@PIT, $7,400)
Brandin Cooks has left a bad taste in a lot of DFS and season long fantasy players over the past two weeks, combining for a total of just 3 catches for 55 yards. That has Cooks at his lowest price of the season, and he is a perfect buy-low candidate. The season-long numbers still reflect that the Steelers are an elite defense, but the story has been different of late. Just looking at their last three games, the Steelers have allowed receptions over 20 yards to five different wide receivers. That doesn’t include A.J. Green, who posted a multi-TD game against them. If Joe Haden is able to return from injury, Cooks is slightly downgraded but given his price tag is still someone who should be considered come Sunday.
Devin Funchess (vs. GB, $7,300)
The Packers secondary has been exploitable for much of the season but things should get even easier for opposing receivers moving forward. They will now be without three of their top four cornerbacks with Davon House out one to two weeks. With the return of Aaron Rodgers, the line on this game has shifted the Panthers to just 2.5 point favorites, meaning game flow shouldn’t harm Funchess’ target upside.
FanDuel Tight End - Week 15 DFS Pick
Zach Ertz (@NYG, $8,700)
Last week, Jason Witten came into the conversation as a DFS option thanks to his matchup against the Giants. The matchip alone is enough to consider Ertz an elite option this week, but there is a deeper angle to take here as well. Nick Foles taking over at quarterback for injured Carson Wentz may be a cause for concern for the likes of Nelson Agholor and Alshon Jeffery, but Foles and Ertz played together during Foles’ career year of 2013. That existing chemistry should help them get off to a fast start in an exceptional matchup. .
FanDuel Defense - Week 15 DFS Pick
New Orleans Saints (vs. NYJ, $4,600)
The Saints defense is back on track with the return of Marshon Lattimore, and with a home matchup against the Bryce Petty led Jets, they should be in line to produce. As 16 point favorites, they are expected to cruise to victory making them a nice defense to target.
