FanDuel Quarterbacks - Week 12 DFS Pick
Kirk Cousins (vs. NYG, $8,800)
Cousins will be highly owned on the Thanksgiving only slate, but with only six QBs to choose from it’s all about getting the most points from the position. Cousins is a relatively safe bet for that honor as the Giants have allowed the third most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks this season, including big performances to Jared Goff and C.J. Beathard of late.
FanDuel Running Backs - Week 12 DFS Pick
Alfred Morris (vs. LAC, $6,100)
The Chargers defense has gotten relatively stingy against opposing quarterbacks and wide receivers as the season has worn on. However, that hasn’t always been the case against opposing running backs. They got gashed last week by LeSean McCoy, even before the game was out of hand and have allowed 5.4 yards per rush away from home. Meanwhile, Alfred Morris appears to be the lead back in Dallas as he racked up 17 carries against Philadelphia last week and gained 91 yards. He’ll need to find the end zone as he has no receiving upside, but his workload appears to be safe in a reasonable matchup.
FanDuel Wide Receivers - Week 12 DFS Pick
Ryan Grant (vs. NYG, $5,200)
Grant is not a volume play, he’s received more than three targets only twice this season, but he is on the field consistently and has an exploitable matchup on Thanksgiving Day. Grant has been on the field for more than two-thirds of Washington’s offensive snaps for three of the past four weeks. On top of that, he has the most favorable expected matchup of Washington’s receivers, as Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has allowed a passer rating of 141.7 when targeted this season. That’s a good recipe for a low-ownership play with touchdown and big play upside.
FanDuel Tight End - Week 12 DFS Pick
Evan Engram (@ WAS, $7,600)
The most obvious choices at tight end this week are Vernon Davis and Evan Engram thanks to their matchup and elite ability respectively. Despite disappointing many last week, Engram is my choice this week thanks to his guaranteed volume and touchdown upside. Similar to quarterback, tight end is a position worth paying a premium and a chalk option to set yourself up for maximum point output regardless of ownership.
FanDuel Defense - Week 12 DFS Pick
Detroit Lions (vs. MIN, $4,600)
The Lions defense has scored over 10 FanDuel points in three of their five home games this season and have already shown they can shut down the Vikings offense once this season. No team defense jumps out on this slate, but given the Lions price and potential for a strong performance they are the best play on the Thanksgiving slate.
