Below are my FanDuel lineup picks for Saturday, June 6th. My goal with these DFS picks, as always, is to try to choose players who will outperform their expectations. These players can be high-cost players, or they can be sleepers, but we are always looking for players that have a chance to return the greatest value on FanDuel. Additionally, since the weekends generally have many afternoon and night games, I’ll make an effort to distribute my picks to cover all the timeslots going forward so that if you are playing an afternoon/night only league this article will still be useful.
Daily fantasy baseball leagues (DFS) are becoming the thing to do, and here at RotoBaller we are excited to help our users build their bankrolls. I’ll be covering FanDuel lineup picks, sleepers and general advice every Saturday and Sunday. I’ll also be putting my money where my mouth is by entering my final lineup (at the bottom of the article) into one of FanDuel’s many daily fantasy contests, so that RotoBaller users can compete against me.
Editor's Note: If you play on FanDuel, you should also check out RotoBaller’s DFS Partner DraftKings - they're hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It's FREE to enter and pays out $100,000 in cash prizes! Sign up Now and we'll give you free access to RotoBaller's Premium DFS Lineup Picks and Tools (a $29.99 value). Last Saturday’s Review
Last Saturday we played the Early Only $15K Sat MLB Squeeze. Here is how we did:
Entry: $2
Winnings: $0
Saturdays For the Season: +$10.68
Pick Highlights: My mother always taught me that if I don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all...I think I'll take that approach with last Saturday's squad of disappointment.
Relationship Status: “It's just a bump in the road”
DFS Starting Pitchers To Consider for FanDuel
David Price (SP, DET) - $11,000
King Felix and Clayton Kershaw will be the the popular high valued pitchers of choice, but I'm going with Price instead.
Adam Warren (SP, NYY) - $6,700
I'll be in the house tonight at the stadium, and I traditionally see a pitcher's duel. This is a pure gut call.
DFS Infielders To Consider for FanDuel
Josh Donaldson (3B, TOR) - $4,900
Of all position players, only Mike Trout has a higher WAR than Donaldson since the beginning of 2013. This guy is an absolute stud and it's time that I stop ignoring him. He's hitting .400 with a homer in 15 career at-bats off opposing pitcher Brett Oberholtzer. He's adjusted well to his new home ballpark in Toronto, hitting 10 of his 15 homers at home and tacking in a sweet little .375 average.
Ian Kinsler (2B, DET) - $3,400
Kinsler has a dream matchup against John Danks, whom he absolutely torches. In 41 career at-bats, Kinsler has four home runs and is hitting a cool .341. Additionally, Kinsler has a hefty split difference that favors facing left-handed pitching (.302 career vs. LHP, .262 vs RHP), so everything is shaping up for a big Kinsler game. The power hasn't shone through yet this year, but you know it's lingering. Kinsler is capable of doing enough other things that he doesn't need the long ball to have a big day.
DFS Outfielders To Consider for FanDuel
Nelson Cruz (OF, SEA) - $3,900
The price has finally come down to the point where the reward is greater than the risk. Cruz always has two home run potential.
Michael Brantley (OF, CLE) - $3,900
People still haven't bought all the way in on Brantley as a star. He's coming off a 3rd place MVP finish and is triple slashing .303/.386/.466 to follow it up this year. What more can you ask for?
Mookie Betts (OF, BOS) - $2,900
Perfect price for this rising star. Betts is capable of going combo meal on us any day (home run and a steal in the same game), and I wouldn't be surprised if that day was today.
FanDuel Sleeper Value of the Day
Matt Wieters (C, BAL) - $2,900
He's baaaaaack! Weiters is fresh off the DL, so snap him up now while he remains under $3,000. I have a feeling that in a week or so this won't be the case.
My DFS Lineup on FanDuel
Today I’ll be playing in Early Only $30K Sat MLB Squeeze . Remember to check your lineups throughout the day. You never want to get a goose egg for a guy that didn’t play.
