Below are my FanDuel lineup picks for Saturday, June 28th. My goal with these DFS picks, as always, is to try to choose players who will outperform their expectations. These players can be high-cost players, or they can be sleepers, but we are always looking for players that have a chance to return the greatest value on FanDuel. Additionally, since the weekends generally have many afternoon and night games, I’ll make an effort to distribute my picks to cover all the timeslots going forward so that if you are playing an afternoon/night only league this article will still be useful.
Daily fantasy baseball leagues (DFS) are becoming the thing to do, and here at RotoBaller we are excited to help our users build their bankrolls. I’ll be covering FanDuel lineup picks, sleepers and general advice every Saturday and Sunday. I’ll also be putting my money where my mouth is by entering my final lineup (at the bottom of the article) into one of FanDuel’s many daily fantasy contests, so that RotoBaller users can compete against me.
Editor’s Note: If you play on FanDuel, you should also check out RotoBaller’s DFS Partner DraftKings – they’re hosting a one-day Fantasy Baseball league tonight. It’s FREE to enter and pays out $100,000 in cash prizes! Sign up Now and we’ll give you free access to RotoBaller’s Premium DFS Lineup Picks and Tools (a $29.99 value). You’ll also receive a 100% bonus on your first DraftKings deposit.
Last Sunday’s Review
We were off last weekend as I was out taking in some Cape League baseball…two words, Bobby Dalbec. Back this week feeling fresh and ready to go on a hot streak.

Saturdays For the Season: +$0.63
Pick Highlights: N/A
Relationship Status: “Absence makes the heart grow fonder”
DFS Starting Pitchers To Consider for FanDuel
Michael Pineda (SP, NYY) - $9,700
Pineda is a strikeout pitcher and Houston strikes out more than anyone in the league. After a slugfest last night, I expect this series to get back to the pitcher's friendly results that were seen in games 1 and 2.
Stephen Strasburg (SP, WAS) - $8,400
Strashburg has been terrible this year, but he was solid in his first start back from the DL last week and he gets the Phillies today. The Phillies are in complete disarray, so Strasburg should get the win with a bunch of strikeouts.
DFS Infielders To Consider for FanDuel
Evan Longoria (3B, TB) - $2,900
Great price for a player that is always capable of a double digit point game. Longoria hits today's opposing starter, Justin Masterson, very well to the tune of a .320 average with 2 homers in 25 career at-bats.
Adrian Gonzalez (1B, LAD) - $3,000
He's cold, but at this price that doesn't matter. You take the upside at this price every day of the week.
DFS Outfielders To Consider for FanDuel
Jason Heyward (OF, STL) - $3,500
Heyward is heating up and I'm going to trust him and the .571 career average off of Jason Hammel doesn't hurt.
Brett Gardner (OF, NYY) - $4,500
He has 19 hits and 4 homers in his past 9 games. He's the hottest hitter in baseball, equally capable of going deep or stealing a base.
FanDuel Sleeper Value of the Day
<a title="Chris Young: Fantasy Baseball Player News & Analysis" href="http://www.rotoballer.com/fantasy-baseball-mlb-player-news/Chris+Young">Chris Young (OF, NYY) - $3,100
A little high priced for a "sleeper," but this is a non-everyday player that is on fire. He is crushing the ball in the Houston series and I can't see Joe Girardi taking him out of the lineup.
My DFS Lineup on FanDuel
Today I’ll be playing in $15K MLB Sac Fly game today. Remember to check your lineups throughout the day. You never want to get a goose egg for a guy that didn’t play.
