Offenses to Target for FanDuel Stacking
Red Sox LHB vs Williams Perez
I definitely like picking on young pitchers without a whole lot of major league starts under their belt, especially in a hitter's park, and this game fits the bill. This season, Williams is allowing a .329 wOBA and .419 slugging percentage against left-handed hitters. Vegas likes this one to be one of the higher scoring games of the night with an over/under set at nine runs.
Tigers versus Jon Moscot
This one reads a little bit like my suggestion above - an experienced lineup hosts a young pitcher. Comerica isn't the hitter's park that Fenway is, but the top of the Tigers order is a little stronger than Boston's. Not to mention, Moscot's numbers are worse than Williams Perez'. Right-handed hitters are slugging .476 off Moscot in 2015. Plus, the Tigers lineup gives me a few more options than Boston's, where I'd likely only consider three hitters. I'll give the nod to Detroit for strongest stack option of the day. Cabrera, Martinez and Cespedes are good options.
Honorable Mention: Dodgers LHB vs Gallardo
DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel Cash Games
Francisco Liriano - SP - Pirates ($9,400)
He's one of the most expensive on the board tonight, and that's probably for good reason. The Pirates and their pitcher-friendly park play host to the White Sox, a team that can't figure out left-handed pitching to save their lives. They rank dead last as a group offensively against lefties with a 47 wRC+, and their .289 slugging percentage is equally as embarrassing. Liriano has really pitched well this season too, averaging over 10 strikeouts per nine innings.
Honorable Mentions: Tyson Ross ($9,000); Gio Gonzalez ($8,600)
DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel Tournaments
Trevor May - SP - Twins ($6,500)
May definitely has a chance to be one of the better values of the day with that price tag and the strikeout potential he possesses (7.9 K.9). His 4.16 ERA isn't too attractive, but he has some peripheral numbers that seem to indicate he's had some bad luck. May has only allowed one earned run in his last 13 innings pitched, and this Cardinals offense isn't exactly a big threat.
Tim Hudson - SP - Giants ($6,500)
Hudson's strikeout numbers are down this season (and they've been trending down since 2012), but he faces off against a Mariners team that is struggling offensively and strikes out in 23.1% of their at-bats against right-handers. That's the third worst figure in the majors. Of all the bargain pitchers, I also think Hudson has one of the best shots at grabbing a victory and not allowing much damage. Vegas has the Over/Under for this game set at just seven runs.
DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel
Yasmani Grandal - C - Dodgers ($3,000)
Grandal is playing in an excellent hitter's park tomorrow and owns a .512 slugging percentage against right-handed pitching this season.
Miguel Montero - C - Cubs ($3,100)
Montero is on a bit of a hot streak over the past two weeks (4 HR) and loves teeing off against left-handed pitching. This season he's slugging .500 with a .950 OPS against southpaws.
Adrian Gonzalez - 1B - Dodgers ($3,400)
Gonzalez owns Gallardo (.667 slugging dating back to 2008), has park factors working in his favor and excellent splits against right-handers. He comes in at a much, much cheaper price point than the other best first baseman on the board (Paul Goldschmidt).
Dustin Pedroia - 2B - Red Sox ($3,400)
Pedroia should be able to pick on the young Williams Perez and boasts an impressive .344/.384/.500 slash line against right-handers at Fenway this season.
Manny Machado - 3B - Orioles ($3,400)
Machado comes in to this one swinging a hot bat (3 HR, .340 average in last 14 days) and has park factors working in his favor.
Xander Bogaerts - SS - Red Sox ($2,500)
I'm not loving many of the shortstop options tonight, but I think Xander at that price point could yield a nice ROI. He's been heating up in the past few weeks and faces a young pitcher. Bonus points if he's hitting higher in the order, as he has a few times in the past few days.
DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel
There are loads of favorable options in the outfield this season. This first group of guys all own .500 or better slugging percentages against the opposing pitcher's throwing arm side.
Andre Ethier - OF - Dodgers ($2,900)
Shin-Soo Choo - OF - Rangers ($3,200)
Bryce Harper - OF - Nationals ($5,400)
Andrew McCutchen - OF - Pirates ($4,800)
This second group of outfielders all come at a fairly cheap price point and have some combination of: ballpark factors, weak opposing pitcher, strong batting average/slugging percentage against the opposing pitcher's throwing arm side, and hot streaks.
Preston Tucker - OF - Astros (2,600)
Travis Snider - OF - Orioles ($2,200)
Nick Markakis - OF - Braves ($2,600)
Mitch Moreland - OF - Rangers ($3,000)
Juan Lagares - OF - Mets ($2,400)
Lorenzo Cain - OF - Royals ($2,500)
