Stacking Offenses to Target for FanDuel DFS
Toronto Bluejays
Toronto pounded it on last night to the tune of 11 runs and 17 hits, and nothing about Rick Porcello makes me think they're going to start cooling off now. Porcello owns a career 4.70 ERA vs Toronto and has given up a HR in every start of 2015. Vegas has the over/under set at 9 for this game, the largest line of the day. If you want to invest in big hitters today, I highly recommend Devon Travis, Jose Bautista (8-for-17) and Edwin Encarnacion (6-for-15) for stacking the top of the order, and Michael Saunders makes for a cheaper play.
Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers will be facing off with Ryan Vogelsong in the rubber match for this series and they make for a solid stacking option. The line is only set for 7 runs, but with LA being a -180 favorite I expect most of those runs to come from the team in blue. Vogelsong limited the Dodgers to two runs over six innings last time out, but don't expect for him to duplicate that success. Multiple Dodgers have solid lifetime numbers versus Vogelsong, including Adrian Gonzalez (.300, 2 HR), Yasmani Grandal (.333), and Jimmy Rollins (.333). I also am a fan of Alex Guerrero today - he only has 2 ABs versus Vogelsong but went deep last time out.
Additional Teams to Consider: Oakland A's ; Boston Red Sox
DFS Catchers to Consider for FanDuel DFS
Stephen Vogt - C - A's ($3,100)
It baffles me that Vogt is only the 6th most expensive catcher. He's been the #1 overall C in fantasy so far and has a HR to his name lifetime versus opponent Matt Shoemaker. Keep rolling him out there while he's cheap.
Derek Norris - C - Padres ($3,000)
BREAKING NEWS - Norris is facing a lefty which means you should be considering him for your lineups. Batting .647 (!) vs LHP this year with a .941 SLG. Sign me up.
DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel DFS
Edwin Encarnacion - 1B - Bluejays ($3,500)
See above regarding stacking. I expect him to carry his parrot around the basepaths tonight.
Billy Butler - 1B - A's ($2,900)
If you want to save money at 1B, consider plugging in Country Breakfast. Batting .325 this season and is 3-for-5 lifetime versus Matt Shoemaker.
Devon Travis - 2B - Bluejays ($3,400)
The rookie has shown no signs of slowing down and today's not the day to hop off the bandwagon. Stack, baby, stack!
Jimmy Paredes - 2B - Orioles ($3,300)
All aboard the Parede! See what I did there? I know I'm not funny, and neither is Paredes amazing start after coming off the DL - .409 AVG, 3 HR, 9 RBIs.
Kris Bryant - 3B - Cubs ($3,800)
Last week I was able to get Chris Carter on the HR board, now it's Kris Bryant's turn. The kid has major power potential and it's going to start translating into some bombs. When he does, I'll be reaping the benefits.
Brock Holt - 3B - Red Sox ($2,400)
His career numbers vs R.A. Dickey are poor (1-for-7) but if you want to go cheap at 3B it's tough to find a better option this low.
Starlin Castro - SS - Cubs ($3,200)
Castro, as usual, is killing it in April and is a lifetime 5-for-9 versus Gerrit Cole. I'd rather save the money from Castro to Tulo and use it on a OF or 3B.
Xander Bogaerts - SS - Red Sox ($3,000)
Bogaerts is a fan of the knuckleball to the tune of 6 hits in 11 at bats. I expect a lot of runs in this game too so grab yourself a piece of it.
DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel DFS
Jose Bautista - OF - Bluejays ($4,800)
See above regarding stacking. Being a lifetime 8-for-17 vs Porcello takes the sting away from the price tag.
Hanley Ramirez - OF - Red Sox ($4,300)
HanRam has just been too hot to keep out of DFS lineups. #10 player in the past 7 days in Yahoo Leagues and has 3 HR in his past 3 games.
Bryce Harper - OF - Nationals ($4,200)
Another pricey item, but he was relatively quiet in the 13 run comeback last night and is a lifetime .375 vs Alex Wood. I'll take my chances.
Jason Heyward - OF - Cardinals ($2,800)
Yes, Heyward has been awful to start 2015, but for this price I'm willing to gamble on him as my 3rd OF in DFS leagues. He reached base four times last night in his return to the lineup and is 3-for-9 lifetime vs Aaron Harang.
DFS Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel DFS
Zack Greinke - SP - Dodgers ($10,000)
Want to spend money on a top flight starter? No problem with me, just make sure it's Greinke. He has a career 1.99 ERA vs SF and has a great chance for a W versus Ryan Vogelsong today.
Michael Pineda - SP - Yankees ($8,600)
Pineda is coming of a dominant outing vs the Mets and carries a 27/2 K/BB ratio into his game today versus Tampa.
Danny Salazar - SP - Indians ($7,700)
There's no reason Salazar should be this cheap. Yes, he has a tough matchup versus Yordano Ventura which may limit his W potential, but he has 10+ Ks in each of his first two starts of 2015. If you want to go cheap at pitcher, Salazar is your man.
