Below are my FanDuel lineup picks for Saturday, September 5th. My goal with these DFS picks, as always, is to try to choose players who will outperform their expectations. These players can be high-cost players, or they can be sleepers, but we are always looking for players that have a chance to return the greatest value on FanDuel. Additionally, since the weekends generally have many afternoon and night games, I’ll make an effort to distribute my picks to cover all the time slots going forward so that if you are playing an afternoon/night only league this article will still be useful.
Daily fantasy baseball leagues (DFS) are becoming the thing to do, and here at RotoBaller we are excited to help our users build their bankrolls. I’ll be covering FanDuel lineup picks, sleepers and general advice every Saturday and Sunday. I’ll also be putting my money where my mouth is by entering my final lineup (at the bottom of the article) into one of FanDuel’s many daily fantasy contests, so that RotoBaller users can compete against me.
Editor’s Note: We have some awesome rest of season MLB DFS Services Premium Lineup Picks deals, that include all of our Premium DFS lineup picks, analysis and also exclusive access to all our other Premium tools, apps and resources. Get MLB DFS Premium and get an edge!

DFS Starting Pitchers To Consider for FanDuel
Felix Hernandez (SP, SEA) - $11,000
This is too much of a guarantee in my mind to pass up. If you want to go cheaper, Alfredo Simon makes some sense, but I can't start anyone other than the King today. Pitching in Oakland is as good as pitching in Yellowstone. It's a huge ballpark where Felix has a career 10-3 record and a tidy 2.72 ERA.
DFS Infielders To Consider for FanDuel
Buster Posey (C, SF) - $4,300
It's a little pricey for a catcher, but Posey in Colorado is fantasy gold. For his career, Posey has triple-slashed .393/.451/.613 in Coors Field. Again, fantasy gold.
Prince Fielder (1B, TEX) - $3,000
I know Fielder has struggled down the stretch a bit after a start that had him hitting near .350 months into the season, but this price has dropped far too low. He gets soft throwing Jared Weaver on the mound today in LA which should give him no issues catching up to the fastball.
DFS Outfielders To Consider for FanDuel
Carlos Gomez (OF, HOU) - $2,900
Value, value, value. That's what you are getting in Gomez today. This is a guy capable of hitting multiple homers or stealing multiple bases. He's daily fantasy goodness. A must have today facing Ervin Santana at home.
Alex Gordon (OF, KC) - $2,800
FanDuel continues to undervalue players coming back from injury. 2.5 points per game this year from Alex Gordon. You have to go up to the $3,500 range before you consistently see production like that.
FanDuel Sleeper Value of the Day
Erick Aybar (SS, LAA) - $2,200
The cheapest player on the board. Aybar owns opposing pitcher with a .348 career average and .587 sluggling in 46 career at-bats.
My DFS Lineup on FanDuel
Today I’ll be playing in $50K MLB Squeeze game. Remember to check your lineups throughout the day. You never want to get a goose egg for a guy that didn’t play.
