Below are my FanDuel DFS lineup picks for Sunday, May 31st. Daily fantasy baseball leagues (DFS) are becoming the thing to do, and here at RotoBaller we are excited to help our users build their bankrolls. I’ll be covering FanDuel lineup picks, sleepers and general advice every Saturday and Sunday. I’ll also be putting my money where my mouth is by entering my final lineup (at the bottom of the article) into one of FanDuel’s many daily fantasy contests, so that RotoBaller users can compete against me.
My goal with these DFS picks, as always, is to try to choose players who will outperform their expectations. These players can be high-cost players, or they can be sleepers, but we are always looking for players that have a chance to return the greatest value. Additionally, since the weekends generally have many afternoon and night games, I’ll make an effort to distribute my picks to cover all the timeslots going forward so that if you are playing an afternoon/night only league this article will still be useful.
Editor’s Note: RotoBaller’s Premium DFS Lineup Picks & Tools help you get an edge for your FanDuel lineups with exclusive access to DFS tools and expert lineup picks. Also our DFS batters vs. pitchers tool helps you analyze today’s matchups and make optimal lineup decisions.
Last Sunday’s Review
Last Saturday we played the Late $900 MLB Triple Up. Here is how we did:
Entry: $2
Winnings: $0
Sundays For the Season: -$0.50
Pick Highlights: No picks last week
Relationship Status: “Honey, I'm waiting"
DFS Starting Pitchers To Consider for FanDuel
Danny Salazar (SP, CLE) - $9,300
If you like strikeouts and upside Salazar is your guy today. He has double digit K potential every time he takes the mound.
Bartolo Colon (SP, NYM) - $7,700
The most consistent starting pitcher in the game. He'll most likely go 7 innings, strike out 6-8 and give you a chance at a win.
DFS Infielders To Consider for FanDuel
Dustin Pedroia (2B, BOS) – $3,200
As I say every week, I refuse to take Pedroia off this list and out of my lineup. At $2,800, Pedroia is less or equally expensive as over half the other starting second basemen.
Evan Longoria (3B, TAM) - $3,300
He's hitting .395 with 6 career home runs in just 38 at-bats against opposing pitcher Chris Tillman. Put him in your lineup and don't think twice.
Jose Reyes (SS, TOR) - $3,300
Don't forget about Reyes who is pack from injury. His career .346 average with a surprising 4 homers off of Ricky Nolasco makes this decision easy.
DFS Outfielders To Consider for FanDuel
Matt Holliday (OF, STL) – $3,200
Another player that I refuse to take off this list. He’s on here weekly until he gets into the $3,800 – $4,000 range. He has been a bit dinged up lately, make sure he is in the lineup.
Giancarlo Stanton (OF, MIA) - $4,200
I know I have Colon as a recommended starter, but how can you stay away from Stanton at this price. He's heating up and I think this is the year he gets to 50 HR.
Adam Jones (OF, BAL) - $2,800
This is a game time decision for me as Jones has a sprained ankle, but at this price if you see him in the lineup he's a must play.
FanDuel DFS Sleeper Value of the Day
Adam Lind (1B, MIL) - $2,700
Total gut call here...feeling a home run coming, and he's on a three-game hitting streak.
My DFS Lineup on FanDuel
Today I’ll be playing in $25K Sun MLB Squeeze. Remember to check your lineups throughout the day. You never want to get a goose egg for a guy that didn’t play.
