Another full slate of games on this Wednesday in which offense should be bountiful. The top pitchers on the mound today are Jordan Zimmermann, Tyson Ross, and Dallas Keuchel -- and none of them cost a fortune, so you should be able to find some quality bats.
There’s only one early game (OAK @ HOU – 2:10 ET) so if you join an all-day league, I highly recommend selecting batters you’re confident will be in the lineup tonight. Personally, I’d just attack the leagues starting at 7:05 ET to reduce risk. Let’s get to it.

MLB Offenses to Consider Stacking for FanDuel
Colorado Rockies (vs PHI – Severino Gonzalez)
Another game at Coors, another opportunity to stack your Rockies. The last time I used this statement in an article they put up two runs, which means second time is the charm. Plus a matchup with Severino Gonzalez doesn’t hurt either. The game is also the highest over/under set by Vegas (10) and with the Rockies set as a -132 favorite, I think this is the game they bounce back. The team is 3-7 in its last 10 and is only averaging 3.5 runs in its last 7 but they showed great resiliency last night ending their six-game home losing streak and scored all six runs with two outs. No one on the Rockies has faced Gonzalez before, but I’m still buying in on Wilin Rosario ($3,600), Nick Hundley ($2,600), Charlie Blackmon ($3,900), and Troy Tulowitski ($4,400).
Additional Offenses to Consider: Detroit Tigers; Washington Nationals; Boston Red Sox; Tampa Rays
DFS Starting Pitchers to Target for FanDuel
Jake Odorizzi – SP – Rays ($8,800)
In previous years Odorizzi was a risky play on the road. Not anymore. He has limited opponents to five runs over his past 19.2 innings without letting up a walk. I’ll take his chances for W vs newcomer Williams Perez as well.
Roenis Elias – SP – Mariners ($7,000)
Elias is somewhat of an underrated commodity in fantasy circles. He’s yet to give up more than three runs in any outing this year and can produce strong K numbers at this low of a price. Personally, I would go with the high priced starters today.
DFS Infielders to Target for FanDuel
A.J. Pierzynski – C – Braves ($2,400)
I never like paying for a catcher and Pierzynski fits the bill perfectly. He hasn’t completely cooled off from his early-season run and is 2-for-4 vs Jake Odorizzi. Not bad for $2,400.
Brayan Pena – C – Reds ($2,300)
Same concept applied in regards to Pena. Filling in for Mesoraco, he’s almost the minimum price and is 3-for-6 lifetime vs Jeremy Guthrie.
Miguel Cabrera – 1B – Tigers ($5,300)
Miggy is the most expensive 1B for good reason. He’s on fire lately (7/4/9/.393 last 7) and has 2 HR in 13 ABs versus opponent Kyle Lohse.
Edwin Encarnacion – 1B – Jays ($4,200)
EE has 2 HRs in the last week and has gone deep off Jered Weaver in the past (3-for-8 with 1 HR).
Mark Reynolds – 1B – Cardinals ($2,200)
Reynolds has been forcing Matheny’s hand lately in finding him a spot in the lineup. If he is in the starting lineup Reynolds makes for an excellent cheap play. He’s 6-for-17 lifetime vs Bartolo Colon.
Ian Kinsler – 2B – Tigers ($3,900)
Kinsler has been the #1 fantasy 2B in the past week and has proven success off Kyle Lohse (3-for-6, 1 HR). I’ll ride the hot streak.
Brian Dozier – 2B – Twins ($3,800)
Dozier has 3 HR in his last four games and is hitting .314 with a .569 SLG vs LHP.
Josh Harrison – 3B – Pirates ($3,100)
The adjustments Harrison has made at the plate are paying off. He’s hitting .538 in the past week and his price still hasn’t been dramatically adjusted for FD.
Maikel Franco – 3B – Phillies ($2,500)
Franco is enjoying his stay at Coors Field. Last night he finished 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI. For $2,500 I’ll take another spin.
Freddy Galvis – SS – Phillies ($3,200)
Feels so weird recommending Phillies but that’s the Coors effect. Galvis is playing very well lately, with a .381 AVG, 6 R, and 2 SB in the past 7 days.
Jhonny Peralta – SS – Phillies ($3,200)
Peralta is another player on fire (.350 last 7 games) with a favorable matchup. He’s 4-for-9 lifetime vs Shawn Marcum.
DFS Outfielders to Target for FanDuel
Nelson Cruz – OF – Mariners ($4,500)
Another lefty matchup, another time to plug Cruz into your lineup. He actually hasn’t had success vs Wei-Yen Chen as of this moment but the Rotoballer Hitter Streamers Tool has him at 265, 96 better than the next player. Gotta throw him out there.
Andrew McCutchen – OF – Pirates ($3,900)
Cutch is slowly hitting his stride and today could be a good opportunity to keep moving in the right direction. He’s 5-for-10 lifetime vs Mike Pelfrey.
Yoenis Cespedes – OF – Tigers ($2,800)
Cespedes hasn’t been hitting for AVG lately but he does have six RBI in his past seven games and is 2-for-3 lifetime vs Kyle Lohse with 2 HR.
Justin Maxwell – OF – Giants ($2,700)
Not sure if Maxwell will find a spot in the lineup today but if he does he’s an excellent value play. He smashes lefties and he’s 4-for-7 lifetime vs Brett Anderson.
