FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Lineup Picks (Week 14): NFL DFS Advice

Welcome to RotoBaller's daily fantasy football FanDuel lineup picks for Week 14 of the NFL season. In this article, I, Justin Bales, will be taking you, the reader, through the best FanDuel DFS plays of the week for this upcoming Sunday.

These FanDuel lineup recommendations are based on matchups, recent performances, overall upside/talent levels, and other factors such as Vegas odds, home field advantage, and more. Good luck with your FanDuel DFS lineups!

FanDuel Quarterback - Week 14 DFS Picks

Andy Dalton (at CLE, $7,700)

Dalton has been more active than often in the Bengals offense over the last few weeks. After throwing the ball at least 40 times in only two of his first seven games, Dalton has attempted 40 or more passes in three of his last five games. He gets an elite matchup against a Browns team this week that has had one of the worst defenses in the NFL this season. Dalton is a high upside guy, but he should also be fairly safe in this matchup. He can be used in all leagues.

Kirk Cousins (at PHI, $7,600)

Cousins struggled in his last start, but that was against one of the best pass defenses in the NFL. Cousins is averaging 24.5 fantasy points per game in his last five starts against moderate defenses. He gets a matchup against the Eagles defense this week. Philadelphia has been an average defense against the pass this season. Cousins will have a huge role in a big game this week, and he’s surprisingly cheap. He can be used in all leagues for his price tag.

FanDuel Running Backs - Week 14 DFS Picks

Ezekiel Elliot (at NYG, $8,500)

David Johnson, Le’Veon Bell, and Ezekiel Elliott have been the three best fantasy backs in the NFL this season. Elliott is the cheapest of the trio. People will likely be paying up for DJ and Bell, which means Zeke could fly under the radar. He has totaled 392 yards and one touchdown against the Vikings, Ravens, and Bears, who all have top-7 defenses against the run this season. This shows that he can run against anyone, and there’s no concern with the matchup this week. Elliott possesses elite upside, and he can be used in all leagues.

Jeremy Hill (at CLE, $6,900)

Jeremy Hill has struggled in two consecutive games, which could keep his ownership down, but this is the week he’s likely to break out. He gets an elite matchup against the Browns, who currently rank second to last in the NFL against the run. Hill possesses multiple touchdown upside, while the Browns will likely be losing for most of this game. Hill could see 20 or more carries for the second week in a row. He’s a high upside running back on this slate.

FanDuel Wide Receivers - Week 14 DFS Picks

Malcolm Mitchell (vs BAL, $6,200)

The Patriots are dealing with some injuries on offense, which has opened the door for Malcolm Mitchell. He has taken advantage of that, as he has now scored double digit fantasy points in three consecutive weeks. Over that span, he has 22 targets, and it looks as if his role is only getting larger. He gets a tough matchup against the Ravens, but they have been much better against the run than the pass this season. Mitchell has been playing well enough to be used in all leagues.

Sterling Shepard (vs DAL, $5,500)

Shepard isn’t a flashy player for the Giants, but has been consistently scoring double digit fantasy points, aside from one game, in which he wasn’t targeted at all. Eli Manning then said he wanted to get the ball to Shepard more, and he saw eight targets and was able to catch a touchdown the next week. Aside from that one bad game, Shepard has caught a touchdown in four consecutive games, but his price tag doesn’t match that production. He can be used in all leagues this week.

FanDuel Tight End - Week 14 DFS Picks

Ladarius Green (at BUF, $5,800)

Before Pittsburgh’s last game, Mike Tomlin stated that the Steelers needed to get Ladarius Green more involved in the offense. He then went on to catch six of 11 targets for 110 yards and one touchdown. Before the season, Green was being called a TE1 without question, but those talks quieted down with him injured. They should be starting back up now, as he looks completely healthy, and it’s easy to see why everyone loved him before. His price is going to continue to rise, and he can be used in all leagues this week.

FanDuel Defense - Week 14 DFS Picks

Minnesota D/ST (at JAC, $4,800)

The Vikings have had an elite defense the entire season, and now get a great matchup against a turnover prone Jacksonville offense. Minnesota’s fantasy production has tailed off a bit recently, but they still possess elite upside, and they should have a couple chances for defensive touchdowns this week. Defenses are far from guaranteed picks in fantasy, but the Vikings are -3 point favorites in a game set at only 40 points. They are as safe as it gets this week.
