FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Lineup Picks (Divisional Round): NFL DFS Advice

Welcome to RotoBaller's daily fantasy football FanDuel lineup picks for the Divisional Round. In this article I will be taking you through the best FanDuel DFS value plays of the week for this upcoming Sunday.

These FanDuel lineup recommendations are based on matchups, recent performances, overall upside/talent levels, and other factors such as Vegas odds, home field advantage, and more.

Good luck with your FanDuel DFS lineups!

FanDuel Quarterbacks - Divisional Round DFS Picks

Tom Brady (vs. TEN $8,800)

Brady doesn’t excite me, especially given that his price is the most expensive among quarterbacks by $700. However, the rest of the choices at the position are uninspiring, so I’ll take Brady’s safe floor and grab the motor of the Patriots offense that should be excellent this weekend.

Also ConsiderCase Keenum (vs. NO $7,600)

FanDuel Running Backs - Divisional Round DFS Picks

Le'Veon Bell (vs. JAC $9,400)

Running back is the other position I won’t be getting cute this week. I’ll play chalk and not be too worried about it, especially in the case of Bell. Forget his Week 5 performance against the Jaguars(where he still posted 93 total yards) when he averaged just 3.1 yards per carry. He ended the season on a tear, missing 100 total yards or failing to find the end zone just once in his final five games. The Jaguars aren’t a great matchup, but there is no other back with the floor of Bell at this point regardless of matchup.

Derrick Henry (@NE $6,700)

Just as with Bell, I’m locking in volume with Henry. Beside Bell, Henry should have the safest volume on the slate. While Dion Lewis has a desirable matchup, I’m not interested in trusting Bill Belichick to give him the volume especially now that his price has jumped to $7,600. The Patriots have been vulnerable against the run all season, and Henry fully illustrated his upside last week. Priced at just $6,700, I’ll take the chance that he loses value due to game script.

FanDuel Wide Receivers - Divisional Round DFS Picks

Nelson Agholor (vs. ATL $6,400)

Agholor hasn’t exactly been lighting it up with Nick Foles at quarterback, but if the Eagles are smart they will target Agholor in his matchup against Brian Poole. Both Desmond Trufant and Robert Alford will prove to be much tougher matchups for Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith respectively.  Against Poole last weekend, Cooper Kupp saw 13 targets and turned in 16.9 FD points. Agholor isn't going to get that volume, but Nick Foles needs all the help he can get and the Eagles can make his life a lot easier by looking to exploit Agholor’s matchup.

JuJu Smith-Schuster (vs. JAC $7,000)

In a full slate of games, the Steelers receiving core would mostly be a hands off proposition for me, but Smith-Schuster is an intriguing option for a few reasons. As we all know, he emerged in the second half of the season, especially in the absence of Antonio Brown. Brown is back, but he there’s no guarantee he’s fully healthy. Also well known is the fact that the Jaguars secondary has been dominant this season. However, according to PFF Smith-Schuster figures to match up against Aaron Colvin, who has allowed receptions to opposing wide receivers 73% of the time he has been targeted this season, second highest among all corners on the slate. He has only allowed .85 yards per route covered, however, still making him appear like a tough matchup and showing he hasn’t been gouged for many big plays. He’ll be tested by Smith-Schuster who was tied for fifth in the league in yards after catch this season, meaning he should be able to pull in a lot of passes with the potential to break off one big reception. This isn’t an obvious play on the surface, but it saves the headache of trying to sort out who will get targets among other crowded wide receiving cores.

FanDuel Tight End - Divisional Round DFS Pick

Marcedes Lewis (@PIT $4,700)

On the surface, it appears that Lewis added one more unproductive game to his season resume in his Wild Card matchup. However, he finished third on the Jaguars in targets and the team’s one touchdown was by a Jaguars tight end, albeit not Lewis. This week, the Jaguars should look to exploit Sean Davis who has gotten bullied in coverage all season allowing 1.49 yards per route covered. We saw him get overpowered by Rob Gronkowski, and while there’s few and far between in terms of similarities between Lewis and Gronk, their size is one. This is a play looking for a touchdown, but Lewis is a valid value play this weekend.

FanDuel Defense - Divisional Round DFS Pick

Atlanta Falcons (@PHI $4,400)

Nick Foles has attempted a pass in six games this season and has managed to fumble six times. He has also shown he is plenty interception prone over the past few weeks as well, meaning there should be plenty of opportunity to turn the Eagles over. Taking one back to the house will be more than enough for the Falcons who are one of the lower priced defenses on the slate.
