FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (11/17/16): NBA DFS Advice

On FanDuel, there is one game that needs to be attacked. This has nothing to do with stacking and attempting to increase overall fantasy upside. It has everything to do with the nature of both team's defenses and the likely speed of the game. The Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves provide a ton of value tonight. Keep that in mind.

These are my daily fantasy NBA lineup picks for FanDuel on 11/17/16. I try to only advise players I believe will outperform expectations and the players I advise are players in my lineup so if it all goes downhill, I'll be tumbling down right next to you. Let's get rolling…

Editor's Note: New users that sign up on FantasyAces, make a $20 deposit, and enter any game will receive our full season NBA (or NFL) Premium Pass for free (includes DFS Cheat Sheets). FanDuel DFS Guards

James Harden - SG, vs POR ($11,700)

James Harden is obviously one of the best guard options in the league every time he takes the court. He failed to post over 50 fantasy points in his last outing against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but prior to that, he posted over 50 in seven straight games. To call him consistent is an understatement. To say he has good upside is an understatement. Use him in both 50/50 contests and tournaments tonight against the Portland Trailblazers. It will be fun to see him square off against Damian Lillard.

Ricky Rubio - PG, vs PHI ($6,600)

Ricky Rubio has been dealing with some minor injuries this season, but over his last couple of games, he seems to be fully healthy. With over 30 fantasy points in two straight games now, and a price tag that reflects his older struggles and not his more recent successes, it is safe to use Ricky Rubio in 50/50 contests. He can, obviously, also be used in tournaments due to his upside. The Philadelphia 76ers are not great defensively, and the Minnesota Timberwolves love to run the court. Rubio should have no issue hitting value tonight.

Also Consider:  Courtney Lee - SG, at WAS ($3,600)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Gordon Hayward - SF, vs CHI ($7,400)

Gordon Hayward really struggled in his latest start. He posted only 20.3 fantasy points in 36 minutes. Based on his production level prior to that game, it seemed almost impossible for something like that to happen. It is almost impossible that it continues to happen, which is why Gordon Hayward makes for a great play in all leagues tonight against the Chicago Bulls. He has over 40 fantasy points in three of his last four games, and there is no reason to totally write him off based on one lousy performance.

Andrew Wiggins - SF, vs PHI ($7,000)

Andrew Wiggins, for his price tag, has one of the highest ceilings in the league. He posted over 55 fantasy points in 41 minutes against the Los Angeles Lakers two games ago. Tonight, against the Philadelphia 76ers, should be very similar. He is going to play around 40 minutes, as he generally does, and the Sixers will not be able to stop him from scoring. He also contributes in other stat categories, but a majority of his fantasy production comes from putting the ball in the basket. That is, after all, what basketball is all about, right?

Also Consider: Kristaps Porzingis - PF, at WAS ($6,900)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Karl-Anthony Towns - C, vs PHI ($8,300)

Karl-Anthony Towns is too cheap on FanDuel. This recommendation has more to do with KAT's price tag than it does the matchup he gets. The matchup is just icing on the cake. He has over 40 fantasy points in two of his last four games, and he is consistently posting right around 35 fantasy points it. It is very unlikely that Towns truly disappoints, in a similar fashion to Gordon Hayward in his last game. He has 20 or more regular points in seven straight games, and he is an elite-level rebounder. Yes, Gorgui Dieng has been stealing some of his rebound opportunities, but KAT will be just fine.

Also Consider: Joel Embiid - C, at MIN ($5,600)
