Happy Tuesday gang! It's Tuesday, which means we have a 14-game slate ahead of us today. We'll have to keep up with the weather as the morning goes on, but as of right now it doesn't appear that we'll have any trouble. I'll do my best to update before lock if there are any weather concerns with the guys I have listed below. Let's get right to it!
This article will provide you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 8/24/2021. The lineup will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also check out today's DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports too. It’s also important to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. FanDuel DFS Starting Pitchers
Corbin Burnes - MIL vs CIN ($11,500)
Corbin Burnes has been one of the best, if not the best DFS pitcher to use this year. He strikes a ton of guys out while being efficient and going deep into games. His 2.33 xFIP is by far the best on the slate. He gets a tough matchup against Cincinnati today, but shouldn't have a problem as Cincy hitters are hitting just .209 against him.
Jack Flaherty - STL vs DET ($10,300)
If you don't want to pay the daunting price for Burnes, I like Jack Flaherty as a cheaper pivot. Flaherty draws a nice matchup against Detriot, a team that strikes out a ton. Pair that with Flaherty's near-27% strikeout rate and we should see him dominate on the mound today.
Other Options: Tanner Houck ($6,700), German Marquez ($9,000)

FanDuel DFS Infielders
Jared Walsh - 1B, LAA @ BAL ($3,000)
Walsh has been a very good hitter for the Angels this season. He now comes into this one in a solid matchup against Spenser Watkins, who has a 5.75 xFIP on the season. Walsh is hitting the ball hard at a 44.6% rate this season and should be the top 1B option on this slate.
Brendan Rodgers - 2B/SS, COL @ CHC ($2,800)
Since he's out of Coors we see Brendan Rodgers's price dip below $3K. Despite not being in Coors it appears that Wrigley should be hitter-friendly this evening with winds blowing out. Rodgers matches up well with lefty Justin Steele, as he's hitting the ball hard at a 50% rate against southpaws this year.
Rafael Devers - 3B, BOS vs MIN ($4,000)
Griffin Jax takes the ball for the Twins today. He's been solid of late but appears to be the worst pitcher on this slate against LHH. He's allowing a 6.04% home run rate and has an xFIP over five against lefty hitters. This matches up well for Devers, who's hitting lefties hard at a 47.4% rate this season.
Xander Bogaerts - SS, BOS vs MIN ($4,200)
While Jax's numbers aren't great against lefties, he doesn't do much better against right-handed hitters either. His HR rate actually bumps up to 9.41%, and he's allowing hard contact 38.4% of the time. Bogy is a nice stack pairing with Devers as he's hitting the ball hard against righties 42.5% of the time, with a .591 wOBA + ISO to go along with it.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Shohei Ohtani - OF, LAA @ BAL ($4,500)
The soon-to-be AL MVP has done it all this season. I mean, the dude is 8-1 with an ERA under three and is leading the league in home runs! It's hard to think we'll ever see something like this again, that is unless Shohei does it again. He gets a strong matchup against Spenser Watkins today and should crush as he's done all season.
Justin Upton - OF, LAA @ BAL ($2,900)
We will look to stack the Angels against Watkins this evening, and Justin Upton fits right in. He's hitting the ball hard at a 44.7% rate against right-handers this season, while Watkins is allowing righties to hit the ball hard at a whopping 52.8% rate. He's cheap and should hit right in between Shohei and Walsh.
DJ Stewart - OF, BAL vs LAA ($2,300)
Stewart comes into today's slate as a nice value play against Dylan Bundy. Bundy is allowing hard contact to lefties north of 30% of the time and has a HR rate of 6.08%, to match with his 4.96 xFIP against left-handed hitters. Stewart hits the ball hard 40.2% of the time against lefties this season and should hit cleanup today, making him a solid value play at just $2.3K.
