FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (8/29/16): MLB DFS Advice

Welcome back RotoBallers. It's another week, another dollar on FanDuel. There is plenty of action with 13 games on the board, with everything getting started at 7:05 ET.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 8/29/16. As for Vegas insights, the heavy moneyline favorites tonight are the Cubs (-260), Nationals (-205), and Tigers (-205). The highest scoring totals are Dodgers-Rockies (11), Blue Jays-Orioles (10), and White Sox-Tigers (10).

Editor's Note: Purchase a full season NFL Premium Pass (including Draft Kit + DFS Premium), and also get MLB Premium + DFS for free through October. Premium DFS lineup picks, expert lineups, tools and more - seven days a week. You can see screenshots of our NFL Premium and MLB Premium and DFS tools. What are you waiting for?

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Nationals versus Jake Thompson

Thompson continues to have a rough go in 2016, posting a 9.78 ERA in four start. Playing in a sandbox called Citizens Bank doesn't help and neither does a top-ten offense such as the Nationals. Multiple Nats are on fire, including Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, Jayson Werth, and Daniel Murphy.

Blue Jays versus Wade Miley

Miley picked up his first win as a Oriole his last outing, but he still owns a 8.18 ERA in five starts with the team. Toronto has a .778 OPS versus RHP (7th) and Joey Bautista just rejoined the potent offense. Go ask Kyle Gibson what it's like facing them these days. I expect another scoring outburst tonight.

Also Consider: Dodgers versus Jon Gray

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Rick Porcello (SP, BOS) - $9,700

Porcello has surprisingly been fantastic for the Red Sox and kept them in the Wild Card race. He has a 12-0 ERA with a 2.96 ERA at home.  I expect Porcello to improve to 18-3 tonight.

Sean Manaea (SP, OAK) - $6,700

If you choose to save at pitching (I wouldn't) Manaea is the choice. Manaea has been much better in the second half, posting a 3.58 ERA with a 45/10 K/BB in 50.1 innings. The Astros have 327 strikeouts versus LHP, third worst in all of baseball.

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Catcher (C) - Russell Martin (C, TOR) - $3,400

Yes, I know. Gary Sanchez has been a monster. But when he's going at over 50% ownership, it's worth venturing elsewhere. Martin has a 1.016 OPS in August and Miley can be beaten.

First Base (1B) - Mitch Moreland (1B, TEX) - $3,100

Moreland has a .908 OPS at home this season including four home runs in the month of August. He's an excellent source of cheap power.

Second Base (2B) - Cesar Hernandez (2B, PHI) - $3,000

Hernandez has been incredible in August, slashing .313/.389/.530 in 83 at-bats. He's 4-for-9 versus Tanner Roark if you buy into BvP, but I do buy into hot streaks.

Shortstop (SS) - Tim Anderson (SS, CWS) - $2,600

Anderson has double digit FanDuel points in three of his last four outings and has a .352/.364/.537 line versus LHP this season.

Third Base (3B) - Adrian Beltre (3B, TEX) - $3,300

Beltre has a .289 average in 45 career AB versus Hisashi Iwakuma and has heated up in the second half. He has a .934 OPS since the All-Star Break including a .997 OPS in August.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Trea Turner (OF, WAS) - $4,000

You don't need me to tell you Turner is great. But I am saying I'll take Turner over Harper tonight. Turner has a .359/.369/.590 line in August.

Justin Upton (OF, DET) - $3,000

Upton is a streaky player, but this week has been all good. He is averaging 20 FanDuel points in his past seven games.

Kevin Pillar (OF, TOR) - $2,900

Pillar has been on a mini hot streak and is hitting .303 versus LHP this season. He's a solid HR/SB threat for under $3K.

Also Consider: Joey Bautista (OF, TOR) - $3,700 and Leonys Martin (OF, SEA) - $2,800
