Welcome back to another day of daily fantasy baseball. We have another split slate Saturday with four early games and 11 games on the main slate starting at 7:00 PM ET. There is not a whole lot to like about the pitching today, which will give us a great opportunity to save at the position and load up on bats. If you are a regular cash game player it may be a good day to take off or take shot in some tournaments and multipliers.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 7/30/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel. Let's get started.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel
Toronto Blue Jays vs. Yovani Gallardo (Orioles)
If you're playing the early or all day slate investing in a Blue Jays stack is a great start to a high upside lineup. While most believe getting the Jays against a southpaw is the way to go, they actually have better numbers against right handed pitching this season. They are currently ranked 6th in wOBA(.331) and 4th in Isolated Power(.190) vs. righties. The best options are Edwin Encarnacion, Troy Tulowitzski and Josh Donaldson who are red hot right now. If you are looking for value in your stack consider Devon Travis and Kevin Pillar.
Texas Rangers vs. Ian Kennedy (Royals)
There is a ton to love about this matchup tonight for the Rangers. They are at home in a great hitters environment with the highest team total on the day. They are coming off a game where they hammered on Edinson Volquez for nine hits and five earned runs and should have no problem duplicating those numbers tonight. They will get another favorable matchup vs Ian Kennedy who has strikeout upside but that's about it. Coming into tonight he is pitching with a 4.56 xFIP while walking over three batters per nine and giving up a 17.3% HR/FB rate. There is value scattered throughout the Rangers lineup with the top options being Jurickson Profar, Adrian Beltre, Roughned Odor, Ian Desmond. You can also get some mid tier to low end value with Nomar Mazara and the newly called up Joey Gallo.
Also Consider - Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Chase Anderson (Brewers)
DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel
J.A. Happ (SP, TOR) $8,800
The early slate is definitely a GPP slate as there isn't really a go to pitcher. Arrieta leads the way in salary but has been shaky lately and not worth the high price tag. Next up with a little bit of safety is Happ. There have been some blips on the radar but overall he has been having a fantastic season. He comes in with a 13-3 record, 3.27 ERA and a slightly above average strikeout rate of 7.26 K/9. He faces the Orioles in a huge division matchup and while the O's have crushed right handed pitching they rank 26th in wOBA vs. southpaws with a 21% K rate.
Justin Verlander (SP, DET) $9,500
Verlander is the top option on the main slate and again doesn't that the safety we would like for cash games. The Astros havebeen red hot over the last 14 days ranking 1st in wOBA and 2nd in wRC+. The upside with Verlander comes with the above average strikeout rate(9.37 K/9) going up against the Astros and their awful 23.9% team strikeout rate. In this situation I always go back to the saying "Good pitching trumps good hitting". Verlander has been impressive lately as well limiting opponents to two earned runs or less in five straight starts.
Also Consider - Josh Tomlin (SP, CLE) $8,600
DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel
Welington Castillo (C, ARI) $2,500
After a terrific April and May he became very streaky and is currently trending in the right direction. He has hits in three straight games and at least one RBI in four straight games. He gets a great matchup against Scott Kazmir and has very strong splits left handed pitching(.441 wOBA/176 wRC+).
Freddie Freeman (1B, ATL) $4,000
Despite the awful team around him, Freeman is having an impressive season. He has already matched his 18 home run total from last year and is hitting with a career high .238 Isolated Power. He is also having a good July slashing .276/.364/.586 with an elite 148 wRC+. He is safe in all formats.
Jurickson Profar (2B, TEX) $2,600
One of the top value plays regardless of position on Saturday. Profar hits at the top of the Rangers order with a nice .347 OBP. The Rangers offense has started to heat up again as they have scored seven or more runs in three of their last seven games which only adds to Profar's overall value. The salary relief will allow you to spend up at some of the other high upside positions.
Trevor Story (SS, COL) $3,400
Great pivot off the top options with very similar upside. Story is having a monster first year in the major leagues with 26 home runs, 71 RBI and 66 runs scored. While he strikes out over 30% of the time he has till maintained a .347 OBP and is hitting with an elite 44% hard contact rate.
Adrian Beltre (3B, TEX) $3,400
Beltre has been red hot lately with six multi hit games in his last 10 including six extra base hits. In his 19th season in the league he continues to produce with .280/.335/.462 slash line with 16 home runs and a 33% hard contact rate.
DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel
Starling Marte (OF, MIL) $4,000
Marte, in his 5th season, has once again improved on his numbers. He comes into tonight's game slashing .318/.373/.472 and currently leads the league with 36 stolen bases on 44 attempts. He has seen a drop in the home runs but expect those numbers to neutralize as he is hitting with a 36% hard contact rate(career high). It won't be long before the ball starts flying out of the park and the price reaches its peak.
Charlie Blackmon (OF, COL) $3,500
This pick is a combination of the very affordable mid $3K price tag and the fact I just don't buy into Bartol Colon and his nine wins in 2016. He just doesn't miss bats which is proven by his 5% swing strike rate which has produced a below average 6.07 K/9 rate. Blackmon is another player who comes with big upside with power and speed while hitting at the top of the Rockies potent offense.
Giancarlo Stanton (OF, MIA) $3,800
Another very strong play in the outfield with a price under $4K. After a slow start to the season, Stanton has come on in a big way. His July numbers are fantastic as he is slashing .318/.383/.659 with seven home runs and an elite 173 wRC+ and .341 Isolated Power. He is more of a GPP play and comes with more power upside than any other bat on the slate.
