We have a nine game main slate today, and there are some big name pitchers on the bump. Scherzer, deGrom, and Archer all are pitching tonight, so if you are playing cash games, you really want to fit one of them in your lineups. The second month of baseball is coming to a close, hopefully everyone had a successful first part of the year.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/31/2017. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options, and of course, value plays.

Offensive Stacks
Boston Red Sox vs Mike Pelfrey
Pelfrey has had two nice starts in a row, but he is due for some regression. He just isn't that good of a pitcher, and he is due for a bad game. He has only had more than three strikeouts once this season and hasn't pitched more than six innings. They are quick to pull him out if he gets into any bit of trouble, and with a 1.37 WHIP, which is below average, he is bound to get into trouble early. Stack the lefty hitters for the Sox, and get ready for some runs.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Jacob deGrom - P, vs MIL ($11,200)
deGrom is in a great spot tonight, and if you are playing cash games, he is one of the best options on the slate. He is coming into to this game on the heels of one of his best outings of the year. His last start was: 10 SO, 1 ER, 6 H, and he got the win. He has nine or more strikeouts in three of his last four games this year, and has five games of 10 or more strikeouts this season. Don't worry, it gets better. He is up against the Brewers who have a 24% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitching this season, which is goof for third worst in the Majors. He is in a super favorable spot, and is one of the safest options on the board.
Masahiro Tanaka - P, @ BAL ($8,500)
Tanaka is coming off his best start of the season, where he had 13 strikeouts and only one run allowed. He hasn't been the most consistent pitcher this season, so he is a very fringe cash game option, but much more of a tournament play. He is at Baltimore who have a 22% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitching, which is in the bottom 10 in the Majors. So the potential for upside is there, he just hasn't shown to be super consistent this season.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Yasmani Grandal - C, @ STL ($3,300)
Grandal is a great cash option at catcher, as he always is. He generally bats higher in the order, which is rare for a catcher, and the Dodgers offense is pretty solid. He has a .392 wOBA and a .216 ISO vs right-handed pitching this season. He has a bit of power upside, so he can be used as a one off in tournaments, but mainly a cash game play.
Logan Morrison - 1B, @ TEX ($3,500)
Morrison is simply too cheap today, way too cheap. He has 14 home runs this season, which is the same amount he had for all of last season. Hmm. Well in any case, you want to jump on him now while the price is low. He has a .371 wOBA and a .308 ISO vs right-handed pitching, and is at a very favorable hitters park. Lock him in all formats tonight.
Neil Walker - 2B, vs MIL ($3,300)
Walker has been one of the more consistent hitters in a Mets offense that is somewhat, hit or miss, no pun intended. He has a .328 wOBA and a .184 ISO versus right-handed pitching this season. He seems to be priced slightly too cheap today considering his match up. He surely isn't a value play, but offers some good safety, and isn't that expensive.
Jedd Gyorko - 3B, vs LOS ($3,400)
If you like a good DFS narrative, there is a juicy one here for you. Gyorko didn't play last night due to the birth of his child. Big time motivation factor right there, and something to take note of. Children being born, birthdays, and bobble head nights are all times to roster a player for the story lines. He also has solid numbers against LHP this season, a .342 wOBA and a .211 ISO.
Corey Seager - SS, @ STL ($3,500)
Seager didn't play last night, so he should be good to go for tonight's game. Seager is one of the best options everyday when it comes to the shortstop position. This season vs RHP he has a .381 wOBA and a .171 ISO. Great numbers for a player under $4k. Viable in all formats tonight.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Aaron Hicks - OF, @ BAL ($3,200)
Hicks is a really solid option for outfield, who is on the cheaper side. He has seen more playing time with Ellisbury on the DL, and he is making the most of it. He has hits in six of his last seven games. Hicks is up against a RHP tonight, and this season he has a .428 wOBA and a .242 ISO against them. Great cash game option.
Jay Bruce - OF, vs MIL ($3,900)
Bruce is absolutely crushing right-handed pitching this season. He has a .409 wOBA and a .336 ISO against them this season. Huge, huge numbers from the veteran, and he is a threat to go deep any night. His price is also a bit cheap tonight, considering his potential, lock him in your lineups.
Nick Markakis - OF, @ LAA ($2,900)
Markakis is a nice bit of salary relief on a slate where there are some big name pitchers you want to get in your cash lineups. He has a .331 wOBA and a .376 OBP vs right-handed pitching this season. Doesn't have a ton of power, but can get the job done, best used in cash games.
