Daily Leagues (DFS) Advice - FanDuel Lineup Picks (7/9)
Note that this is not a true FanDuel lineup, but these are some players that I like today for daily league games based on their matchups and FanDuel pricing/value. You should consider adding them to your FanDuel lineups today, and if you're looking for even more FanDuel analysis/picks, you can always give our newsletter a try. Good luck RotoBallers!
Marcus Stroman SP / TOR ($6,600) - Ranked by Baseball America as the No. 27 prospect in all of the minors heading into the 2014 campaign, Stroman made his MLB debut back on May 4. After spending an uninspiring couple of weeks in the Jays’ bullpen, in which he posted a 12.79 ERA across 6.1 innings, the 23-year-old righty was optioned back to Triple-A Buffalo. However, it was a short trip for the highly touted hurler, as he was back in Toronto for his first ever start at the highest level on May 31.
Since entering the rotation, Stroman has done nothing but prove he belongs in the bigs, putting together a 3-2 record with an ERA just north of 2.00. The hard-throwing youngster has been especially impressive during his last three outings. Through that stretch, Stroman has posted a 1.25 ERA, 0.65 WHIP and 8.4 K/9 across 21.2 innings. Wednesday’s matchup versus the Angels is not an easy one by any means, but the same thing could have been said before he held the A’s scoreless over seven frames last Friday.
DJ LeMahieu 2B / COL ($2,500) - Coors Field is always a great place to locate potential offensive production. LeMahieu is certainly not one of the big boppers in the Rockies’ lineup, but when opposed by a lefty like the Padres’ Eric Stults, the slick-fielding second sacker is typically a great value.
LeMahieu is familiar with San Diego’s southpaw, as he has put up an impressive .938 OPS over 16 turns in the box against Stults.
Brad Miller SS / SEA ($2,600) - Miller was a huge disappointment during the first couple months of the campaign. However, the second-year shortstop got things back on track when the calendar turned to June, sporting a .298/.355/.512 slash line with five homers, 12 RBI and 15 runs scored for the month.
Miller has cooled off a bit in July, but a matchup with Twins’ right-hander Kyle Gibson, whom he has reached base against in 4-of-6 plate appearances, may very well get him going again.
Stephen Vogt C / OAK ($2,500) - For those that are unfamiliar with the terminology, KISS is a commonly used acronym for a principle that means “keep it simple, stupid”. That sentiment seems to apply when considering Vogt for FanDuel lineups.
How about taking a look at a .392/.410/.541 slash line versus right-handed pitching to help you buy with confidence. If that is not enough, the versatile 29-year-old will also carry an eight-game hitting streak into Wednesday’s showdown with the Giants’ Matt Cain.
