Daily Fantasy Leagues - Fanduel Lineup Picks (5/7)

Rick Porcello SP / DET ($6,800) - Porcello is really on a roll on the mound as of late and should be a great value this evening versus the Astros at Detroit’s Comerica Park. The Tigers’ 25-year-old hurler has picked up the victory in each of his last three starts, posting a solid 3.32 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 14-to-2 K/BB ratio across 19 innings. Porcello, dating back to last season, has not allowed more than two runs in any of his last five outings in front of the home crowd. The free-swinging Houston lineup could really have a tough time ending that run, as Porcello is holding the opposition to a career-low .239 average while issuing just four free passes to this point.
David DeJesus OF / TB ($2,700) - Sure, DeJesus is batting just .219 on the campaign. However, the veteran outfielder was carrying a .119 average as recently as April 20th. During the 12-game span since then, DeJesus has hit .355 (11-for-31) with two homers, eight RBI, nine walks and has struck out just three times. The 34 year old has a good chance to continue his current hot streak going up against the Orioles’ Bud Norris, as he is 7-for-13 with a couple of round trippers in their previous battles.
J.J. Hardy SS / BAL ($2,500) - It is somewhat difficult to believe that Hardy, who has averaged 26 home runs per year since 2011, is yet to go deep in any of 86 plate appearances this season. That could certainly change before the end of the night. Hardy is 5-for-9 in his career versus Rays’ southpaw Cesar Ramos. Two of those knocks cleared the wall. The two-time All-Star shortstop is more than due for a power surge.
C.J. Cron 1B / LAA ($2,800) - Ranked by MLB.com as the Angels’ No. 3 prospect coming into the season, Cron was called up this past weekend after putting up a .319/.369/.602 slash with six bombs over 28 games for Triple-A Salt Lake. Standing 6’4” and weighing in at 235 lbs., the 24 year old is an imposing figure that possesses great power potential at the plate. Cron will showcase his slugging stroke against Yankees’ lefty Vidal Nuno in tonight's bout.
