BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 43% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Given how stupidly thin the tight end position is when it comes to viable fantasy options, it's funny that not one but two of the most-targeted players on the WW ahead of Week 9 will be coming out of the same game: Greg Dulcich and Evan Engram, who faced each other in London last Sunday.
Odds are Dulcich flies off waivers sooner than Engram, but the rostership shares are super close and the only thing keeping Engram from getting more "Adds" than Dulcich is probably going to be his past in the NFL. Do you know what, though? We're using players for future, not past, performance, so don't fall for that. It's a trap!
Engram has had four games in a row now hitting at least 9+ PPR points and in three of those at least 10.7. Engram is now coming off his best game of the season to the tune of 15.5 PPR points thanks to a great afternoon with 4-of-6 receptions, 55 yards, and one touchdown against the Broncos. It's the first touchdown of the year for Engram.
Engram has seen his playing time grow on nearly a weekly basis, going from a 69% snap share in Week 2 to a 93% this past weekend with week-to-week increases. Some folks will tell you that the quarterback might kill Engram's upside, and that might be right, but not so much upon closer analysis.
Lawrence had a putrid 7.8-FP game against Denver but he had put up at least 18.7+ FP in the prior two games. He's attempting an average of 35 passes per game compared to Russell Wilson's 33 (the QB of the other top WW target of the week).
Engram is a proven veteran, raises Lawrence's floor, and has put up TE1 numbers in three of the past four weeks with the other performance (that of Week 6) having him as a high-end TE2. You can do much, much worse than adding/starting/streaming Engram in most if not all leagues.
