ESPN College Pick Em Picks - Week 10 2022 College Football

Our Mike Marteny lays out the confidence points in ESPN College Pick Em for Week 9 of the 2022 NCAA college football season.

The ESPN College Pick Em game goes into Week 10 this weekend! There will be 10 games to pick every Saturday. Each week, you assign a confidence total for each game from 1-10 points. If you win, you get that many points. Simple, right? Now that you've got the hang of it, this year we are going to offer a little prize. The winner of the group this season will win FREE access to RotoBaller's college football DFS premium tools for the 2023 season. We have a pretty good turnout of 33 entries. You have a one-in-33 chance of winning, so set your lineups every week!

Things were much better for the group in Week 9. The Syndicate got 53 out of a possible 55 points to lead the way. ertlt finished second with 47 points. ryan_peoples2 had 46. Fred Smoot Boat Rentals and Bret8821 both had 45. Seven more entries still broke the 40 mark, so the standings were shaken up a little. jphowell09 still leads the way with 364 points, but ryan_peoples2 climbed to within eight points. The Syndicate moved all the way up to third with 350 points.

It really gets tight after that. Fred Smoot Boat Rentals is one point back of that. HumbleBee is one point back of that. lbockenek is one point behind that. ertlt slips into seventh with 340 points, which is seven behind lbockenek. San Diego's Finest and Kev Shep are 10 points behind ertlt. Bamarick and XLVIII are tied for 10th with 321 points. Six more entries cleared 300 this week, so there is still going to be an interesting race down the stretch.

College Football Pick Em Overview

This article will be for the confidence game mode. You can also read my against-the-spread picks here every week for every game so you know how I'm leaning toward that version of the game. Each week, I will recap who's dominating the group before I get into the picks. If you're going to beat everyone, all of the readers will know about it!

Let's get to the countdown! I will count them up from least confident (1) to most (10). You know, for dramatic effect. If I do change my pick or points sometime during the week, I will try to update the article or post it on Twitter. Otherwise, you know all of my picks each week. Good luck out there. This looks like a tough week. There are some close ones on there, but that's what makes this fun!

(1) Tennessee over Georgia

Getting Cedric Tillman back a week before this monster of a game is big for Tennessee. I know that the Bulldogs have a better defense, and it really isn't that close. That said, the Tennessee offense wears you out. They did Alabama with their fast-paced style. That could happen to Georgia here as well. This isn't just a pick to steal points. I honestly think this is the year Tennessee throws a wrench into the SEC and punches their playoff ticket already. For those of you that want playoff expansion? This is a playoff game while still making the regular season important. Enjoy it!

(2) Oklahoma over Baylor

I'm not all that confident in this and might move it down. The public going 71% on Oklahoma is for the name only. Yes, our defense looked better, but we all know that Iowa State has the worst offense in the league. This is a losable game for Oklahoma. I'm taking the Sooners in Norman. That doesn't mean as much as it once did, but it's fun to pretend like it does.

(3) South Alabama over Georgia Southern

Now that La'Damian Webb is healthy, the Jags are going to be a tough out. Carter Bradley has been a strong quarterback for this offense, but the running of Webb over the past few games has given the Jaguars another level on offense.

(4) Wake Forest over North Carolina State

I don't see the Wolfpack turning over Wake six times in a quarter. That was the difference in the Louisville game. I expect Wake to show up big in this one.

(5) Arkansas over Liberty

Both teams stomped BYU, but the Piggies did it in Provo. If this game were in Lynchburg, I would think a little more about it. Since it's in Fayetteville, this is a little too big of an ask for the Flames.

(6) Alabama over LSU

If Kayshon Boutte is really back to how he was as a freshman, we'll see it here. Alabama can be taken in the secondary this year, which has not been the case in recent years. Jayden Daniels is finally getting comfortable in this offense. LSU has the firepower to keep this close, but I don't think they are to the point where they can beat Alabama yet.

(7) Kansas State over Texas

Quinn Ewers has struggled in road games and the Wildcats just blew the doors off of a good Oklahoma State team in the Little Apple. Can Texas win this game? Sure. Whenever you have the talent that Texas does, it's always a possibility. However, Kansas State has the offense to beat them this time where they haven't in recent seasons.

(8) UTSA over UAB

You know I'm a sucker for the Roadrunners. DeWayne McBride is going to be a problem for the Roadrunners, but that passing game is going to be something that the Blazers can't handle. Frank Harris and those receivers are in for a big game.

(9) Troy over Louisiana

Troy has been winning with great defense this year. Only three teams – Mississippi, Appalachian State, and Western Kentucky – have scored more than 17 points on the Trojans. Louisiana won't be one of them. The Cajuns have moved the ball fairly well, but their inability to consistently chew up yards on the ground is going to be a problem for them.

(10) Clemson over Notre Dame

I might move this one down. The Notre Dame defense played a great game against the Orange last week. If they do so again, they might collect another Orange scalp. Clemson is the more talented team and I have serious doubts as to whether Drew Pyne can move the ball against Clemson. I tend to think that they can't. This might be tougher than Clemson wants, but they should still come out ahead.
