Erick Fedde is a fantasy baseball waiver wire pickup for Week 9 (2024). Target Fedde as a starting pitcher free agent waiver wire add for fantasy baseball.
BALLER MOVE: Add in all formats
ROSTERED IN: 45% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: One of the few bright spots for the White Sox this season has been the performance of Erick Fedde. After spending 2023 pitching in the Korean league, Fedde returned to MLB this season with a revamped arsenal of pitches and better command of his stuff.
Fedde spent the first six seasons of his career with Washington where he was developed into a groundball pitcher. But he had a major problem getting left-handed hitters out and walk issues, too.
In Korea, Fedde threw 180 innings across 30 starts while boosting his strikeout rate, lowering his walk rate, and finishing his campaign with a 2.00 ERA and 0.95 WHIP.
Erick Fedde did that thing again

Many wondered if his success overseas would translate to MLB, but it clearly has so far. Through nine starts, Fedde has a 2.60 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 50 strikeouts in 52 innings. That's enough of a sample size to convince me that he is worth adding in any format. He's had a few clunkers mixed in there, but the results have mainly been, if not great as he whiffed 11 Twins in one start and 9 Rays in another.
