Well, the 2024 season is in the rearview mirror, and we are now turning our attention to 2025. Sure, it's only the first day of October when this article is being published, but as dynasty managers know, there's never a bad time to improve your roster for the future. At this point in the year, keeper decisions are the primary focus and many leagues still allow trading as teams try to rework their rosters and overall keeper groups.
These rankings are geared toward standard 5x5 leagues (AVG) and consider many factors, including performance to date, scouting grades, future projection, and video and data analysis. Or, as I like to call it... "PPP," which stands for profile, performance, and projection.
While these rankings are more slanted towards long-term fantasy value, proximity and short-term value do play a part in where a prospect lands in my rankings. If you want to see the full Top 500, then head on over to my Patreon!

Fantasy Baseball Prospect Rankings Notes
Walker Jenkins (OF - MIN)
With all the big names graduating over the last few months, there's been a bit of a shakeup at the top, with Walker Jenkins taking over the No. 1 spot in my rankings.
You could go several different ways at the top, but Jenkins got the nod for me due to his already impressive blend of contact, approach, and speed, with plenty of additional power projection waiting to be unlocked. When it comes to upside and ceiling, there may be two or three prospects in baseball on the same level as Jenkins.

With that said, my one area of concern is durability as Jenkins has already dealt with injuries over the last two years. If he can stay healthy, the upside is here to be an early-round fantasy asset.
Kristian Campbell (2B/OF - BOS)
You might be surprised to see Kristian Campbell in the No. 5 spot, but he's 100% deserving of a lofty ranking like this. Campbell was considered a hit and speed over power prospect entering 2024, but he made notable strides in the power department, including a 46.2% hard-hit rate in Triple-A to end the season. All while not sacrificing any of his contact or approach skills.
Overall, Campbell finished with a .330/.439/.558 slash line in 115 games, along with 32 doubles, 20 home runs, and 24 steals. His blend of contact, approach, power, speed, and proximity is why he's a top-5 fantasy prospect for me right now.
Aidan Smith (OF - TBR)
Another big riser in my final 2024 rankings was Aidan Smith who has been consistently rising all season. Smith finished with 33 doubles, 11 home runs, and 41 steals in 97 games between Seattle and Tampa Bay along with a .288/.401/.473 slash line.
Similarly to Campbell last season, Smith is a prospect who leads with his hit tool and speed with additional power projection waiting to be unlocked. If he can take a step forward in the power department next season and turn more of those doubles into home runs, Smith has a shot at rising to top-10 prospect status.
Alejandro Rosario (SP - TEX)
The Texas Rangers had a banner year with their pitching prospects, and Alejandro Rosario was at the forefront of it all with an absolutely dominant season. In 88.1 innings between Low-A and High-A, Rosario posted a 2.24 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, 3.7% walk rate, and a 36.9% strikeout rate. His 33.2% K-BB rate ranked first for all pitching prospects with at least 80 innings pitched.

— Rangers Player Development (@TEXPlayerDev) August 23, 2024
With Rosario, there's a strong case for him to be valued as a top-5 pitching prospect at this point. Looking past the dominant stats, Rosario features three above-average to plus pitches with plus command and control as well.
Rosario has the upside of a No. 2 starter with one of the highest floors for any pitching prospect right now. He's a no-doubt top-10 pitching prospect, but I don't believe his perceived value is at his top-10 levels yet.
Jesus Made (SS/3B - MIL)
Out of all the rookie ball standouts this season, you could argue that Jesus Made is the one that improved his stock the most. In 51 Dominican Summer League games, Made slashed .331/.458/.554 with 21 extra-base hits, six home runs, and 28 steals with more walks (39) than strikeouts (28).
Made is more than just a sexy set of numbers, though. The profile is sexy as well, with Made already showing an advanced approach and feeling for the barrel, along with truly impressive power for his age.
It remains to be seen how much speed he'll maintain as he matures and where he'll wind up on the diamond (I'll say third base), but Made's trajectory is soaring right now, and he could be a Top-25 overall prospect in short order.
