It's an intriguing six-game slate for DFS Premier League soccer this weekend on FanDuel and DraftKings. Below we bring you seven players you should consider as EPL DFS lineup picks for Matchday 28 (on February 24th, 2018).
Not all are top-tier options, as there is a range of DFS value picks, sleepers and high-risk players mixed in.
Consider all of these EPL players for your DFS lineups this weekend; however, at the end of the day, it is always your decision. Good luck, RotoBallers.
EPL DFS Forwards to Consider
Wayne Rooney - F, EVE vs WAT (DK - $6,400, FD - $8,500)
Although he has been disappointing in recent weeks, Wayne Rooney still leads Everton in scoring with ten goals and is one of the few forwards available who could win your week in a barren slate for players in the final third. Although there is always the risk of Rooney starting on the bench, you should keep him in mind if you want an upside play who could win you this week against a lower-tier defense.
Jordan Ayew - F, SWA vs BHA (DK - $5,800, FD - $8,500)
A much better play on DraftKings but decent start on FanDuel as well, Ayew has stepped up as a key player for the Swans through the back half of this season. Facing a soft defense in Brighton, the Ghanaian forward will look to add to his goals tally and secure a win for the in-form Swansea side.
EPL DFS Midfielders to Consider
Mohamed Salah - M, LIV vs WHU (DK - $12,000, FD - $13,000)
At this point Salah should be considered a truly elite option for DFS players, regardless of format. You will likely need him in GPP plays as he will be heavily rostered this weekend, and for good reason: the Egyptian midfielder has been electric this season with 22 goals and seven assists to his name up to this point. Salah has only gone five games without producing this season, making his roster status unquestionable against a vulnerable West Ham lineup.
Abdoulaye Doucoure - M, WAT vs EVE (DK - $5,300, FD - $9,500)
Doucoure has quieted down in the goals department in recent weeks; however, a return to the scoresheet is not unfathomable against a suspect Everton defense. Regardless, Doucoure is an elite play on FanDuel given the stats that he has been putting up and an intriguing upside Tournament play in most DraftKings lineups. Consider him in your lineups this week if you want to take a contrarian view on DraftKings or go all-in on elite mids if you partner him with Salah on FanDuel.
EPL DFS Defenders to Consider
Andrew Robertson - D, LIV vs WHU (DK - $5,600, FD - $6,500)
Robertson has started all but one of his games since Gameweek 15, giving him a reliable floor in FanDuel. Furthermore, the Scottish defender has a penchant for sending in crosses yet has only had one assist this season. Look for a regression to the mean in the coming weeks given Liverpool's easy schedule that starts off with a relatively easy matchup against West Ham, who are middle of the pack in terms of points allowed to defenders.
Ben Mee - D, BUR vs SOU (DK - $3,200, FD - $7,000)
If you are playing on FanDuel this weekend, you should have Ben Mee rostered in the majority of your lineups. With an easy matchup against Southampton, a clean sheet is not unlikely for Burnley. With Mee being a key contributor to the defensive efforts of the team, look for the English defender to play a leading role in any success that Burnley have in the coming game. Mee is a reliable GPP play and also a must-have for tournament lineups given his upside this weekend.
EPL DFS Goalies to Consider
Nick Pope - G, BUR vs SOU (DK - $4,700, FD - $5,000)
It's hard not to consider Pope in your lineups as he is available at a discounted price in both DraftKings and FanDuel this weekend and is likely to produce against a poor Southampton defense. Stacked with Ben Mee on FanDuel, Pope could provide for players in an unusually barren slate and should be considered an elite option at a bargain value this weekend. Make sure to keep Pope in lineup considerations, as he has the potential to be one of the top options this week in most formats across both platforms.
Good luck this weekend!
