EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Leicester vs Crystal Palace
Leicester (-220) are still holding on to their UCL spot for next season, and Monday they have a good home matchup to give themselves a little more breathing room. There are not many good things to say about Crystal Palace's season aside from it being another safe mid-table finish to clinch another season in the PL without much of a sweat. Leicester have not been that dominant at the King Power this year, but Palace have been even worse on the road. Leicester should control this game and come away with three points here. The goal total over/under is 2.5.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
Leicester have scored the 3rd most goals in the league so far this year, and now they're facing a Palace defense that has given up 1.8 goals per game on the road. Leicester is coming off a dominant 3-0 win over West Brom and can really pour it on Crystal Palace in this matchup too. Palace has not been defending the better teams well recently. They have given up four goals to all of Manchester City, Chelsea, and Tottenham, and Leicester has the attacking talent to join that list in this game. Jamie Vardy ($15) dug himself out of his most recent goal drought in Leicester's last game against West Brom with a goal and an assist. He has another fantastic home matchup here where he is the slate's most likely anytime scorer at -140. Kelechi Iheanacho ($14) is still scorching hot. He's probably the most in-form striker in the league right now with eight goals in his last six games. His anytime scoring odds are not quite as high as Vardy's, but they are still very good at +110. Lastly, James Maddison ($14) should do well in a matchup like this against a team that allows 6th most SOGs and 7th most chances created in the league. I highly recommend getting two of these three Leicester attackers to start your lineup on Monday.
I had Youri Tielemans ($9) as one of my favorite mid-tier attackers against West Brom with his attacking upside in a prime matchup like that. However, that did not work out well as he only scored 6.9 fantasy points and only created one chance. I'm going to head right back to him on this slate because this is a slate where I want to maximize my exposure to Leicester's attacking group. They will likely control the possession in this game, and hopefully, Tielemans is more productive fantasy-wise than last game.
I really don't want much to do with Palace attackers in this game against a good Leicester defense. However, if you want a Leicester defender, a Palace attacker might be necessary for your lineup build. There are three ways to go about it. If you have the money or want to take the risk, Christian Benteke ($12) has been scoring some goals recently and has decent +450 odds to score here. Luka Milivojevic ($6) is also a decent value play if you want some extra cash but need a Palace MID. He has a better floor/ceiling combination than Jairo Riedewald ($4) - who is still a viable play at minimum price in my opinion if he helps you stuff studs into your lineup.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
I would love for Ricardo Pereira ($10) to get a start in this matchup. His attacking upside is very appealing - not to mention he has a solid shot at a clean sheet bonus. He's pretty expensive, but there are ways to use a Palace attacker to get him into your lineup on Monday.
Neither team allow many defensive stats at all, but Leicester do allow tackles and interceptions at a nice rate which I like a lot for Patrick van Aanholt ($6). His attacking upside has essentially dissolved this year, but he has four double-digit games in his last six which he should be able to get here again in this game. He's the most affordable Palace defender and he also happens to be my favorite.
Caglar Soyuncu ($5) is too cheap for his ability. While Palace don't force many defensive peripherals, Soyuncu still only needs a few to hit value especially when you consider this spot comes with a good shot at a clean sheet bonus too.
Thanks for reading my EPL DFS lineup picks breakdown on RotoBaller and good luck!
