EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Chelsea vs Everton
Chelsea (-175) are coming off a huge 1-0 win over Liverpool on Thursday and find themselves as big favorites at home against Everton. Chelsea currently have a one point advantage over Everton for the fourth spot on the table, but they do have a game in hand. Everton are in nice form themselves with three straight wins where they have outscored opponents 4-0. Everton can put themeslves ahead of Chelsea with a win. This should be a very fun game between two teams vying for a coveted spot. The goal total over/under is 2.5.
West Ham vs Leeds
West Ham (+110) have worked themselves back into a solid position in the table as they look to play Champions League football next year for the first time ever. They have a big opportunity for some much-needed points here at home against a Leeds team that have been stuck in the middle of the table all season. West Ham had won three of four before a 2-1 loss to Manchester City last weekend. Leeds will be coming into this game with three losses in their last four games with their one win coming against Southampton. Most Leeds games are full of goals, and I expect this one to fit that mold. The goal total over/under is 3.0.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
Michail Antonio ($19) is a great place to start your lineups on this slate. He has scored in two straight games now, and he has a plus matchup at home against Leeds. Leeds allow 2.1 goals per game on the road this year, and West Ham will be eager for all three points in this game to keep themselves in UCL contention. Antonio is +120 to score in this game and is a little underpriced. He will be popular on this slate but for good reasons.
Jesse Lingard ($16) has miraculously been productive since joining West Ham finishing with 19+ fantasy points in four of his five EPL games. Not only do Leeds allow a lot of goals, but they also give up plenty of SOGs and chances created. This should give Lingard a strong floor on this slate. He has goal upside too at +200 as well. He's a good mid-tier attacking option.
You can't ignore Richarlison's ($20) form coming into this game. He has scored in four straight EPL games now. Chelsea's defense is pretty strong at home though which will likely lower his ownership. He's the hottest attacker on the slate and he has +350 anytime scoring odds to continue his goal streak.
Mason Mount ($17) has been awesome for Chelsea lately. He has three goals in his last five games and is creating a lot of chances as well. He has added appeal with his free kick/corner kick duties. Everton's defense on the road is not something to be very worried about. This is a massive game for Chelsea, and Mount has done well in these spots before. He has a very affordable price tag for his form and his role on this team.
The value from attacking positions on these four teams is about as bad as it can be. Pascal Struijk ($8) is a solid option, though. Adding cheap exposure to an attacking-style team is always a solid option. Struijk has several 20+ point games recently too, so he has shown us clear upside along with a decent floor. He's one of the better options in a lackluster field.
Pablo Fornals ($12), Jarrod Bowen ($14), and Tomas Soucek ($15) are all decent cheap-ish options to consider. Leeds is the worst defensive team on this slate, and it is not even close. Taking advantage of that and finding a cheap WHU attacker to fill a spot is a smart strategy.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
With the lack of value at the attacking positions on this slate, many people will be paying down for defenders. Good thing we have Diego Llorente ($7) for that. In his three league starts, Llorente has no games under 14 fantasy points. That's more than double his current price tag. West Ham don't force a lot of defensive action, however, he doesn't need many stats to provide good value on this slate at $7.
Leeds give up the most combined defensive stats of all the teams on this slate, so taking a look at some West Ham defenders is a good place to start at defense. Issa Diop ($8) makes the most sense from a dollar-per-dollar perspective, but Vladimir Coufal ($14) comes with some good attacking upside in a game like this. He's one of the best defenders on the slate from a raw points perspective.
Chelsea also allow plenty of defensive action to opposing players, so Bed Godfrey ($9) interests me for cheap. It's hard to recommend playing Michael Keane ($13) for that price when Godfrey - and even Mason Holgate ($11) are there for cheaper.
Marcos Alonso ($11) is the last defender I would like to mention with his attacking upside as a wingback for a cheap price tag like this. He has three 17+ point games in his last five.
FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers
Darren Randolph ($9) is pretty cheap considering he is a home favorite on a better team. Sure, Leeds can score against anyone, but West Ham's home defense is strong. They also have a lot more to play for than Leeds does. At the very least, I think Rudolph should get a win bonus here and a good number of saves. He can have a very strong fantasy game if WHU keeps a clean sheet in this game.
Edouard Mendy ($14) is probably the only other viable GK on this slate. He's an even bigger home favorite, but Everton has been scoring and playing well lately. His price tag is also pretty inhibitory when you think about the fact that Randolph is $5 cheaper.
