Welcome back, RotoBallers! We have an odd schedule of EPL games this weekend. We start off with a single-game Friday like normal, but Saturday there will also be only one league game after the postponement of Tottenham and Southampton. Either way, I will still be breaking down that game in full for you here. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Friday's slate.
The very large majority of my DFS content will be EPL or UCL-related, however, there is more soccer than just what is being played in England. If you want to chop it up with myself and other RotoBaller writers about non-EPL leagues or other sports, consider becoming a premium member and joining our ever-growing community of DFS and fantasy sports enthusiasts! There was some great conversation over the four UCL slates we had this week, and the Premium Slack chat is as full as ever!
In this article, I will be providing you with my English Premier League daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/19/21 for the slate that locks at 4:00 pm ET. EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Fulham vs Leeds
While Leeds have been sitting comfortably in the middle of the table for a while now, Fulham (+150) are still sitting in 18th place trying to save themselves from relegation. They have a big opportunity here at home against Leeds who have one win in their last five. Fulham have been getting some more positive results lately, and three points would go a long way in this match. Vegas has this game pretty close, and I expect it will be. The goal total over/under is 2.5.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
At this point, Raphina ($14) is a good play whenever you want to get some sure points like in a single-game contest. He gets the important attacking peripherals and defensive stats at a good rate, and he can do so against a team like Fulham where Leeds can control some possession. Raphina also has clear goal upside at +275 as well as assist upside. He's a strong captain option.
Leeds has an atrocious defensive record this season especially on the road where they concede 2.07 goals per game. With Fulham needing positive results, they should be pushing for goals here against this weak defense. It is Bobby De Cordova-Reid ($12) who leads the team in goals with five in the PL and seven in all competitions. However, he has not scored since January and does not get many SOGs or chances created. He is a decent play, but his floor remains much riskier than someone like Ademola Lookman ($13) who leads Fulham in chances created. He also has +275 anytime scoring odds.
I really like the value attackers on this slate. Harrison Reed ($7) is a solid value play no matter which "studs" you pay up for with his peripherals. Mario Lemina ($5) is an even deeper value play with some goal upside for Fulham.
Tyler Roberts ($5) has been a good fantasy player for Leeds lately with 12.68 points per game over his last four. That's really good for being the cheapest expected starter on the slate.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
There are many viable defenders on this slate. Number one on my list is Joachim Andersen ($8). He has been great fantasy-wise since joining Fulham's starting lineup regularly. Leeds force a good amount of all of the defensive stats, and Andersen becomes valuable because he collect all of them at a good rate. He has a very strong floor and a ceiling into the 20s in this game environment. He has shown the ability to create a chance now and then as well which adds to his appeal.
Antonee Robinson ($6) is third on Fulham in chances created, so he has definite attacking upside. However, he has not been in form lately both with attacking and defensive stats. Either way, with the recent price drop, he is still worth a look as a boom-or-bust value play. It has been Ola Aina ($7) who has shown more attacking upside lately out of Fulham's back line. He's a solid play as well.
Pascal Struijk ($6) is a good play from Leeds. He has gotten defensive stats at a steady rate lately and remains cheap.
