EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview

Sheffield United vs Leicester City

Sheffield United are the final winless team in the league. They have lost all but one game this season and host Leicester (-100) on Sunday. Leicester have lost two straight league games and lost to Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League on Thursday. Regardless, they are the better team here and do still sit 4th on the table. Sheffield's defense has not been great, but it also has not been the main problem. Leicester are the team to target in this game. The goal total over/under is 2.5.

Tottenham vs Arsenal

Fans! Arsenal had fans at their Europa League game on Thursday, and there will be 2,000 fans let into this game. Technically, the Manchester United vs West Ham game is the first with fans, but I wanted to throw some positivity in here for you guys. Anyways, Tottenham (-105) are still atop the table after a draw with Chelsea last weekend and are small home favorites against Arsenal on Sunday. Arsenal are falling down the EPL table right now with only four points from their last six games. Tottenham, on the other hand, are in great form and should have the edge in this game. The goal total over/under is 2.5.

Liverpool vs Wolverhampton

Liverpool (-200) are our slate's largest favorite at home against Wolves. After a tough start to the season, Liverpool have not lost in the league since 10/4 and sit level with Tottenham on points at the top of the league. Wolves have been as strong as ever defensively, but they are not scoring well. They will also be without star striker Raul Jimenez who suffered a fractured skull last game. He appears to be doing well, but this is a massive loss for a team that is already struggling in front of the net. The goal total over/under is 2.5 which matches the first two games of the slate.

FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders

This slate is not much easier than Saturday's with three more of the Big 6 clubs and Leicester on top of that. It's hard to not like Mo Salah ($22) on this slate. Liverpool are the largest favorites at home on Sunday, and Salah is in good scoring form with five goals in six league games. He's facing a Wolves team that has been solid defensively this year with the 3rd least goals allowed so far. However, he has the best anytime scoring odds on the slate at -150.

Sadio Mane ($20) has not scored in the league since 10/17, so I will take the $1 savings and recommend Diogo Jota ($19) instead who has four goals during Mane's drought including a goal in each of his last two games. Even as the slate's largest favorite, that is the extent of my interest in the Liverpool attackers.

Jamie Vardy ($21) deserves serious consideration as a top target on this slate. While Leicester are playing on the road, they're facing a last-place Sheffield side who are giving up 1.6 goals per game. Vardy has eight league goals this year and is -110 to take his count to nine on Sunday. Vardy has three goals in his last five games. He has also shown a decent floor recently with 10 SOGs, two assists, and four chances created in that five-game stretch. For a secondary Leicester piece, James Maddison ($17) has been unplayable this season, so I will turn to Harvey Barnes ($14) or Marc Albrighton ($8) for some deep value.

Harry Kane ($21) is reportedly dealing with a minor issue. Manager Jose Mourinho seems confident Kane will play, but who actually knows? I'm not in love with Kane here, but he is having an incredible season with 16 goal contributions already. He faces an Arsenal team that isn't having big problems defensively with 1.2 goals per game allowed, and Kane only has two goals in his last five games. I would take Salah and Vardy over him, but he has to be mentioned with -100 scoring odds.

If he doesn't start, I will go heavy on Heung-Min Son ($20) who will be asked to do more in the attack. His production has dropped slightly too with only one goal in his last four games, but I am interested if Kane is not fit. Much like Liverpool, I have no interest in any value Tottenham attackers.

Another similarity between this slate and yesterday's is the lack of attacking value. Many people will spend the majority of their salary on top-notch attackers. If you're looking for a value piece, Adama Traore ($12) is intriguing. He will be getting more playing time now with Raul Jimenez sidelined. He has the speed to challenge any defender and cause problems. Liverpool's defense has been suspicious this season with 1.7 goals allowed per game which gives Traore some upside here. I'm a fan of Joao Moutinho ($11) for value in this match as well.

FanDuel DFS Defenders

Again, like Saturday's slate, it is going to be imperative to find value at the defender position with the number of stud attackers. Good thing there are plenty of solid value defenders on Sunday.

Marcal ($9) has started two league games for Wolves this year, and he could be getting a third start on Sunday. His pricing is a little skewed due to his lack of playing time and appearances as a substitute. In his two starts, he has gone for 12+ fantasy points both times. He now gets a good matchup for some defensive peripherals against Liverpool.

Rob Holding ($9) is another value defender worth consideration. He has a good matchup against Tottenham who force plenty of defensive action. Holding's fantasy production has been inconsistent this season, but I expect him to push towards his ceiling in the mid-upper teens in this matchup.

In the mid-tier price range, Toby Alderweireld ($11) is a good play. He has gone for 16+ fantasy points in four of his last five EPL matches. The consistent upside is potentially worth that extra $2 over guys like Holding and Marcal. He could catch a clean sheet bonus here facing a low-scoring Arsenal team.

The duo of Tottenham wingbacks are my two favorite defenders to spend on if you find yourself with the cash. Sergio Reguilon ($13) and Serge Aurier ($14) both get strong defensive stats which strengthen their floors. They also come with some attacking upside through chances created and assists.

FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers

Tottenham have allowed the fewest goals in the league so far with only nine goals against in 10 games. Now they are at home against an Arsenal side that has struggled to score or create chances all season. There are rumors that Hugo Lloris ($11) may not be fully fit, but if he starts, he is a good affordable GK play. Joe Hart ($5) is not really good anymore, but he if starts for Lloris, his value at minimum price in this matchup is undeniable.

Kasper Schmeichel ($14) is the most expensive keeper on the slate. He has a prime matchup against Sheffield who have only mustered four goals in 10 games. Leicester are also favored in this game which should lead to a clean sheet bonus for Schmeichel. I would trust Schmeichel more if he was playing at home, but I still like him on the road here.

Alisson ($13) is out on Sunday, and it looks like Caoimhim Kelleher ($13) will get the nod over Adrian ($12). This is a very strong matchup for whoever starts in the net for Liverpool. Wolves have scored only 11 goals in 10 EPL games, and now they are without their leading scorer who has four of those. The Liverpool GK should definitely get a win bonus and looks like a strong bet for the clean sheet as well.

Thanks for reading my EPL DFS lineup picks breakdown on RotoBaller and good luck!
