EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Brighton vs Arsenal
Arsenal (+130) finally got off the snide and got a PL win on Boxing Day against Chelsea. They will be eager to build a winning streak against a Brighton team that has just one league win in three months. Brighton's defense has bled goals this season, and Arsenal just scored three against a good Chelsea defense. This should be a pretty closely contested game. The goal total over/under is 2.5.
Burnley vs Sheffield
This is an ugly matchup of bottom-dwelling teams. Sheffield are still winless in the league through 15 games and are almost surely getting relegated. Burnley (+140) have climbed out of the relegation zone by two points behind two wins and a draw in their last four games. This is not a great fantasy environment either with both teams averaging less than one goal per game. The goal total over/under is 2.0.
Southampton vs West Ham
At one point this season, both of the squads were top four in the table. But now, they have fallen down to 9th and 10th respectively. Southampton (+130) is a slight home favorite as they host West Ham on Tuesday. This should be a pretty good game between two solid teams looking to get back into the win column. The goal total over/under is 2.5.
West Brom vs Leeds
This is a matchup of the league's two worst defenses who are both allowing two goals per game. The difference between them is that Leeds (-105) has shown they are capable of scoring while West Brom have just 11 goals this season. Leeds are the second-largest favorite on the slate, and they have a really good matchup here. They are an enticing team to target on Tuesday especially with a slate-high goal total over/under of 3.0.
Manchester United vs Wolverhampton
Manchester United (-170) are the slate's largest favorite and take on Wolverhampton at home in the late game on Tuesday. United have been strong in Premier League play recently having not lost since 11/1. Conversely, Wolves are struggling right now with one win in their last five games. Manchester United will have the leg up on Wolves in this game especially at home. The goal total over/under is 2.5.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
It should not require much to convince anyone to play Bruno Fernandes ($22). He has an elite fantasy floor and a good ceiling as well. This is a good home matchup for Fernandes making him a great way to start any lineup on Tuesday. Marcus Rashford ($21) is a nice player to pair with Fernandes in a United mini-stack with his +140 anytime scoring odds. For a cheaper United attacker, Edinson Cavani ($16) is viable.
Patrick Bamford ($18) is a great dollar-for-dollar play on this slate. He has a tremendous matchup against a very poor West Brom backline who is conceding 2.0 goals per game this season. Bamford has 10 goals already this year, seven of which have come on the road. Bamford is +105 to score on Tuesday. Raphina ($13) and Jack Harrison ($15) are both great ways to get more exposure to this game that has the highest over/under on the slate. They can easily be paired with Bamford, or they can be used as one-offs.
While the Burnley vs Sheffield game is not generally one to target on Tuesday, considering a few Burnley scorers like Chris Wood ($17) or Ashley Barnes ($13) at home against a Sheffield defense allowing 1.73 goals per game.
James Ward-Prowse ($15) and Josh Brownhill ($9) are two other names in my player pool on Tuesday.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
There are not too many good options at DEF on this slate in general. Stuart Dallas ($13) might be worth the money. He has goal upside and a plus matchup where he can get involved. He does not get great defensive stats though which makes his floor a little risky.
Adam Webster ($8) is a good value play. He has three straight 11+ point games and should be able to hit that mark again Tuesday against Arsenal.
John Egan ($8) broke his streak of double-digit games over the weekend, but he has a great matchup against Burnley to get right back on track.
Pablo Mari ($5) is an elite value play if he starts. He was very productive fantasy-wise in his few starts last year and scored 13 fantasy points in his first start this year last weekend against Chelsea.
FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers
Although expensive, Nick Pope ($14) is a solid goalkeeper option on Tuesday. He is at home facing Sheffield who are one of the lowest-scoring teams in the league this season with just 0.53 goals per game. Pope should be able to make a few saves too. The biggest question for Pope is whether or not his team can win the game and get him the win bonus. If they do, Pope has one of the higher ceilings on the slate.
David de Gea ($13) is another good play here. He's facing a Wolves team without their top scorer. United are the biggest favorites on the slate which should lead to a win bonus for DDG. United's defense has not been all that great, but I think they can keep the clean sheet in this one.
Robert Sanchez ($8) at home facing an inconsistent Arsenal team is not a bad cheap option. Likewise for Aaron Ramsdale ($7) if you fade the Burnley attackers.
