Without a doubt, Pope will be the highest-owned keeper on the small 3-game slate for the second slate of the midweek. The striker has recovered from an injury that kept him out for the majority of the season and he has taken off since returning. In his last five appearances in domestic play – 4 starts –, he has 4 goals, 12 shots, 3 created chances, 4 tackles, 1 interception and 2 clearances. Everton is the second-worst club in both Shots Against Per 90 – 15.43 – and Created Chances Against Per 90 – 11.81 –. This sets up Isak for a solid floor from shot volume alone with Newcastle expected to possess the ball for the majority of the match.

If he does sit out, Eriksen will be in charge of the majority of the set-pieces, giving him an immediate floor. The fullback as mentioned time and time before is a critical piece to both sides of the ball for Newcastle and when players like Miggy Almiron or Allan Saint-Maximin do not start, Trippier becomes increasingly more important and that seems to be the case again. In Trippier’s last five fixtures in domestic play, he has 1 assist, 18 created chances, 45 crosses, 24 corners, 7 tackles, 4 interceptions and 15 clearances. Everton is the fifth-worst club in Crosses Against Per 90 – 20 – and as mentioned they give up plenty of created chances against. This is a perfect complementary piece to Alexander Isak – previously mentioned – on today’s slate.
