Welcome back to “The Kick-Off” and welcome to the 23-24 season! European play is back which means we have fixture congestion once again. Clubs that are playing twice a week could be at a disadvantage if they do not have the club depth and as always consult lineups ahead of kickoff!

The top favorite for this week is Manchester City -1150 vs Luton Town FC +2200. I will guide you through this four-match slate starting at 10:00 A.M. EST.

EPL DFS Goalies

Ivo Grbic - DK $3.9K || FD $8

Opponent - Brentford FC

Looking for a floor goalie is less than ideal this weekend with the likes of Ivo Grbic or Arijanet Muric once again our main options. Muric isn't that bad considering his flashes of brilliance over the last few fixtures, however, he also gave the only goal against straight to Everton attacker Dominic Calvert-Lewin last weekend after being indecisive. Ivo Grbic is the main option on this slate due to his minimum salary on DraftKings and the fact that Sheffield United concede the most Shots Against Per 90 this season. Furthermore, Brentford has been struggling to score in matches recently. The hope is that they continue to struggle, despite playing at home, but generate enough shots to keep Grbic busy and build a floor from saves.

EPL DFS Forwards

Erling Haaland - DK $9.3K || FD $25

Opponent - Luton Town FC

One of the more obvious plays, especially in ‘CASH’ contests, is Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland. The youngster continues to tear up the top flight with 19 goals in 25 domestic fixtures so far this season. When dating back to his last five domestic matches, he has two goals, 15 shots, four created chances and one tackle. Luton Town remain a bottom-three club, defensively in the top flight and considering they are the second-worst in both In-the-Box Shots Against Per 90 and In-the-Box Goals Against Per 90, calls for Haaland to have a big performance.

EPL DFS Midfielders

Kevin De Bruyne - DK $10.9K || FD $22 

Opponent - Luton Town FC

The next ‘CASH’ puzzle piece is Manchester City attacking midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne. Since De Bruyne’s return, he has been a major catalyst to City’s attack and overall transition, as expected and something that was truly missed. Throughout his most recent five domestic appearances – four starts –, he has two goals, two assists, ten shots, 17 created chances, 43 crosses, 22 corners, four tackles, two interceptions and two clearances. As mentioned, Luton Town FC remains bottom of the top flight defensively. Furthermore, over the season, they are the third-worst in Created Chances Against Per 90 and they are the worst in Big Chances Created Against Per 90. De Bruyne is expected to have a major performance and on FanDuel where chances are scored higher, he could have a big fantasy outing.

EPL DFS Defenders

Pervis Estupinan - DK $5.9K || FD $14

Opponent - Burnley FC

If paying up at defense, there are a few options on the slate with Pervis Estupinan and Rico Lewis as the top favorites due to matchup and or position. Burnley is the fifth-worst in Chances Created Against Per 90 and they are the seventh-worst in Crosses Against Per 90. Over Estupinan’s last five domestic appearances, he has two shots, eight created chances, 25 crosses, three corners, 10 tackles, five interceptions and seven clearances. The versatile fullback will not be needed much defensively, but he could very well showcase his offensive upside at Turf Moor.
