BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Leagues
OWNED IN: 33% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: Ender Inciarte was going to be the leadoff hitter of the future for the Atlanta Braves. But then he got hurt and missed the early part of this season. His fantasy stock plummeted. Owners got excited for the rise of Mallex Smith who has since taken over in LF for the time being while Inciarte gets his foothold back on the CF job that was his to begin with.
The K% is up but so is his BB% in limited at-bats. He also has yet to hit a HR or grab a SB but again those are in very limited at-bats. Inciarte owners who have stuck with him are going to have to stay patient. But if he is getting picked up via the waiver wire in hopes of buying low on a high upside OF---be weary.
He has never been a power threat and at his best will steal 20 bases while hitting around .280. As long as his Hard% rate can climb up the the mid-20's where it has been regularly throughout his career, Inciarte should garner interest and become a nice piece for an owner looking for a spark in the OF or Util positions.
Inciarte is also hitting the ball to the opposite field more than ever at 45%. This would lead owners to think he is improving his hitter's eye and gaining a heightened ability to hit the ball to all fields but it has clearly affected his early offense in 2016. Take all of those things into consideration when buying into Inciarte and let him get his bearings back.
