The New York Giants are looking for revenge against the Dallas Cowboy after a brutal week one collapse. Dallas will trot out Matt Cassel in hopes of stopping their 3 game losing streak, while Eli Manning hopes to get the Giants act together this week.
Eli owners have to be pretty upset after last weeks performance against the Philadelphia Eagles, completing 23-of-37 passes for 189 yards, while also throwing a touchdown and a pair of interceptions. After starting off red hot and completing 10 passes in a row, Eli and the Giants went cold, allowing 27 unanswered points. Odell Beckham Jr. had another good game, catching the lone touchdown with 61 yards and 7 receptions. The Giants have to find more ways to get OBJ involved, as he's only averaging 10 targets per game. With Greg Hardy back after a suspension that cost him the first four games of the season, Eli should be feeling pressure all game long.
Rashad Jennings will continue to split the workload with Shane Vereen, with Andre Williams as the goal-line running back. All three runners have had inconsistent seasons. All signs pointed to Vereen being a vital piece of the Giants offence after his week 5 showing, catching 8 balls for 85 yards while rushing for 24. The very next week he gets 4 attempts, 0 yards and 1 catch for 4 yards. Ouch. And its not like Jennings went off last week, he was held to 63 rushing yards and 3 catches for 20 yards. It seems like the Giants just don’t know how to get these guys to produce consistently. It won’t get any easier against Dallas, who's allowing just 95.2 rushing yards per game.
Odell and Rueben Randle both look to be healthy enough to go, which is great news for Giants fans and fantasy owners alike. It’s tough to say which Giants team will show up today, with first place on the line (again) and a change of quarterback for the Cowboys, the Giants will have to adjust quickly to whatever Dallas throws at them.
