BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 42% of Fleaflicker Leagues
ANALYSIS: One of the biggest surprise performances this season has been Eduardo Nunez and his .338 average. He is currently seventh in the majors, ahead of even Jackie Bradley Jr. A quick look at his career stats will tell you that this season is looking more and more like an outlier. Although he has hit as high as .292 in limited time with the Yankees, his insanely high .382 BABIP seems unsustainable. Nunez is taking a more aggressive approach at the plate, which has led to a troubling 5.60 K/BB rate, more than double his career average. This has also led to an increase in his power output, though. He is slugging 100 points higher than his career average. Although five home runs and 20 RBI isn't overwhelming, when you consider Nunez as a MI/CI option for deeper leagues, you could do worse. Don't expect Nunez to keep up this pace, but with his new approach and regular playing time, he could continue to provide surprising value to owners looking to boost their AVG.
