The 22-year-old started hot when being called up in June, slashing .307/.358/.523 with three home runs, 12 RBI, and nine stolen bases over 21 games. He faded down the stretch badly, slashing .199/.285/.361 in the last 50 games. Washington Nationals shortstop CJ Abrams also broke out in a big way in 2023, slugging 18 homers and swiping 47 bags over 151 games.
