As we enter October, it is time again to examine which players' stock has gone up and which players' stock has lost some of its value from a dynasty perspective. In other words, it's the Dynasty Monthly Report, Trick or Trick edition.
Luckily, our team of RotoBaller experts, which includes Brandon Murchison (@RotoSuperstar), Jorden Hill (@JordenHill95), Matt Terrelle (@SuperMT), and myself (@MattDonnellyFF), updates our dynasty rankings as the market changes.
Looking at our monthly consensus, we can identify fantasy football's biggest risers and those fantasy assets trending downward to allow you to stay ahead of the competition. With this kind of insight and the dynasty trade chart, you can move on from players while they are at their peak value.

Fantasy Football Dynasty Rankings (October 2024)
Trending Upward ( Dynasty Treats)
Rashee Rice, WR, Kansas City Chiefs (+38)
Previous rank: 51
Current rank:13
Before suffering a knee injury in Week 4, Rice had become the new identity of this Kansas City Chiefs offense. If you look at what I'd consider the elite receivers, Rashee Rice was right there with the likes of CeeDee Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, A.J. Brown, Nico Collins, and Malik Nabers.
From Week 1 through Week 3, Rice averaged 21.6 fantasy points per game in PPR scoring formats, trailing only Malik Nabers. More impressive was that his lowest scoring week came in Week 1, in which he finished with 17.3 fantasy points, giving fantasy managers a solid floor to work with moving forward.
Last season, Rice was primarily used underneath on slants and short crossers; his role in 2024 expanded to include more vertical stuff, much like how he was deployed during his tenure at SMU. So far this season, only two other receivers with at least 10 targets averaged more yards per route run than Rice's 3.27.
It is important to note that we do not know the extent of Rice's injury. The fact that the Chiefs have not said it is an ACL tear is positive news. On-field testing for ACL injuries is highly accurate, somewhere around 98%. We could be looking at a PCL sprain or partial ACL tear, which is closer to four weeks rather than season-ending. Again, I am not a doctor.

Better angle here. You can see his knee hyperextends quite a bit.
This can put the ACL and other structures at risk. I don't see much tibial rotation, the entire leg rotates laterally so I think the outward motion at the leg is at the hip and not the shin… pic.twitter.com/ZygXy287C5
— Tom Christ, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT (@FantasyInjuryT) September 29, 2024
Between the injury and the potential of suspension come 2025, Rice may see his market fade somewhere over the next few months. As of right now, until we get additional information, Rice is still to be considered an elite fantasy asset. One thing more consistent than Rice's production is fantasy managers forgetting what they cannot see.
Brock Bowers, TE, Las Vegas Raiders (+18)
Previous rank: 64
Current rank: 46
It's tough to know what is happening in Las Vegas these days, but we found out that the Raiders are now officially listening to offers for All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams.
Brock Bowers is likely to see his role increase out of necessity. Before Week 5, Bowers was already looking at a 15.4% air yards share and a 17.8% target share. Bowers may be a tight end, but expect him to be lined up all over the field in Adams' absence.
Looking deeper into the first month of Bowers' rookie campaign, the former Georgia Bulldog was averaging 2.16 yards per route run and 10.8 yards per reception, along with a 22.5% market share of the team's receiving yards.

So far, we have seen Bowers line up as a fullback and catch passes out of the backfield. We've even seen him carry the ball on jet sweeps. We know that the Raiders will find a way to manufacture touches for Bowers moving forward, and we should see another increase in his 81% route participation from Week 4, which will continue to grow each week.
Jayden Daniels, QB, Washington Commanders (+43)
Previous rank: 79
Current rank: 36
What Jayden Daniels has accomplished in four weeks of his NFL career has been unprecedented. Daniels leads all quarterbacks in fantasy, averaging 23.7 fantasy points per game.
Daniels sits 12th in passing yards (897) with an impressive 8.5 yards per attempt so far this season while completing a league-high 82.15 of his passes on 106 attempts. With three passing touchdowns and four more touchdowns on the ground, his impressive 7:1 touchdown-to-interception ratio is as remarkable as it comes.
Only Lamar Jackson has more rushing yards from the quarterback position than Daniels. However, Daniels' EPA per drop and completion percentage are over expected, which are league-best, and prove he's not your average mobile quarterback. Daniels is a passer who can also run.
Commanders fans have been enjoying the 3-1 start to the season thanks to Daniels having had more scoring drives (23) than incompletions (18) this season and quickly becoming what we all had hoped Anthony Richardson would have been.
Other risers: Trey Benson (+34), Rashid Shaheed (+67), Chris Godwin (+22), Devin Singletary (+14), Michael Wilson (+32), Drake Maye (+28), Quentin Johnston (+51), Jordan Mason (+121)
Trending Downward (Dynasty Tricks)
Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs (-26)
Previous rank: 57
Current rank: 83
For Travis Kelce, the Eras tour has become the Errors tour for the start of his 2024 season.
Kelce had a solid Week 4, registering 15.9 fantasy points against the Chargers — a team that was without Derwin James Jr., I may add. If you include that nearly 16-point performance, Kelce is averaging 7.7 fantasy points per game, as he had been held under 7.5 fantasy points in each of the previous three contests.
My good friend Scott Barrett of Fantasy Points shared that Kelce's first-read target share in Weeks 1-3 was 14.3%, 10.5%, and 17.2%. Maybe this was part of easing him back from his preseason shenanigans or something more significant. In Week 4, that first-read target share jumped to 46.7%, with Rice getting hurt.

— Farzin Vousoughian (@Farzin21) September 29, 2024
The bottom line is if Kelce has anything left in the tank, you had better take advantage of it. When Rice returns, whether it be this season or next, Kelce may once again "Shake it Off" and turn back into a fantasy "Anti-Hero" because this is no fantasy football "Love Story" anymore.
I don't want to say that Kelce is dust, but Father Time is undefeated. The good news is that with Rice's injury, Kelce has an opportunity to open a selling window for fantasy managers. The Chiefs will lean heavily upon him in the upcoming weeks, as evidenced by his 94% route participation in Week 4.
Amari Cooper, WR, Cleveland Browns (-18)
Previous rank: 68
Current rank: 86
We are less than a month away, and the one thing I want more than anything else is to see Amari Cooper get dealt. Currently, the Cleveland Browns enter the bye weeks ranked 29th in passing yards per game, averaging 151.5 per contest. Let's not forget that the Browns converted all but $1.21M of his salary into a signing bonus.
Cooper sits 32 in targets per route run at 21.4%. That trails Greg Dortch (21.5%), Khalil Shakir (21.6%), and Jauan Jennings (26.6%). Cooper has finished in four games this season with 16, 11, 86, and 35 receiving yards, with his best performance leading to a 58.5 catchable target rate. As long as Cooper has Deshaun Watson under center, his value is tapped.
If Watson were somewhat accurate, we would talk about Cooper in a completely different tone. Cooper accounts for 46.8% of the Browns' air yard shares (seventh most), and his 467 air yards are the fourth most among pass-catchers.
Cooper still has the talent to be a top-24 fantasy asset. However, his situation limits how fantasy managers can deploy him into their lineups today and how they view him moving forward for dynasty leagues.
Mark Andrews, TE, Baltimore Ravens (-15)
Previous rank: 56
Current rank: 71
When Jared Goff has more receiving touchdowns than you do, that's not usually a good sign. I'm looking at you, Mark Andrews, and you, Mr. Taylor Swift.
All kidding aside, Andrews has looked like a shell of his former self. Andrews has posted back-to-back donuts in fantasy after producing 12.5 fantasy points in the first two weeks.

Breece Hall managers: "He only got 3.8 points!"Mark Andrews managers: pic.twitter.com/UqIjkRumlP
— NFL Fantasy Football (@NFLFantasy) September 30, 2024
During Week 3 and Week 4, Andrews' route participation was just 35% and 45%, respectively. I don't know what you can do with Andrews right now. I joked about Jared Goff earlier, but as a pass-catcher in standard scoring, Goff has outscored Andrews.
In four contests, Andrews has six receptions on nine targets. There have been 24 tight ends with nine or more receptions this season, including Jordan Akins, Will Dissly, Erick All Jr., and Colby Parkinson. Even Blake Whiteheart, Luke Farrell, and Grant Calcaterra have run more routes in Week 3 and Week 4 than in the 10 Andrews has participated in.
Notable dips: De'Von Achane (-10), Davante Adams (-10), Zamir White (-17), Rhamondre Stevenson (-15), Cooper Kupp (-37), Jaylen Warren (-17), Jerome Ford (-34), Bryce Young (-43)

Names to Know
Bucky Irving, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+93)
Previous rank: 181
Current rank: 88
Don't look now, but Bucky Irving may be the No. 1 running back down in Tampa Bay.
Rachaad White logged 100% of the Buccaneers' red-zone snaps through the first three weeks of the NFL season. Then, in Week 4, Irving handled all five of Tampa Bay's red-zone rush attempts.
Looking at Week 4 as a whole, both Irving and White each had 10 carries. White ran four more routes than Irving but had just one more target than the rookie. As far as snaps are concerned, White still has a modest 60/40 split to his advantage, but those extra snaps haven't equaled additional fantasy production.
If White cannot maintain the passing work, then I don't see how much longer he can hold off Irving, who has 5.8 yards per carry and a full three yards per carry more than White thus far. White is currently outtouching Irving 55 to 4; however, White's 38.8 fantasy points are just three more than Irving's.
Wan'Dale Robinson, WR, New York Giants (+81)
Previous rank: 174
Current rank: 93
I needed to find a way to discuss Wan'Dale Robinson, so I added a bonus name to watch to this week's market report: my candy apple of fantasy football dynasty leagues.
Robinson is the perfect Robin to the Mail Naber's Batman persona. Back in Week 4, Robinson was a PPR machine, hauling in 11 of 14 targets for 71 yards. Those targets aren't going anywhere, as teams will be forced to try and game plan for Nabers. If Robinson continues to see a 28% target share, he becomes a weekly start in your flex.
In 2024, through the first quarter or so of the season, Robinson sits fifth in targets with 38. For those who have been tracking Robinson's production, this comes as no surprise. Robinson has now seen 71 targets over his last nine contests, finishing with 10 or fewer fantasy points in just two of those nine games.
Wan'Dale Robinson Top 5 in targets still rostered in less than 50% of leagues.. 27% target share
Such a solid flex option week to week.
Last 9 games:
🍓Less than 10 FP only in 2 games in the span
🍓WR12 in that span | T-4th in catches (50)
🍓71 targets - 5th most in that span…— LaQuan Jones (@RealDealFantasy) October 1, 2024
Nabers may be getting 38% of the targets, but I can support Robinson at 28% moving forward.
Maximize Return
Jameson Williams, WR, Detroit Lions (+38)
Previous rank: 110
Current rank: 72
After seeing 20 targets in the first two weeks of the season, Jameson Williams has seen just five targets between Weeks 3 and 4. Seeing Williams rise in the dynasty ranks should not surprise anyone, thanks to 38.8 fantasy points in those first two contests.
People want pieces of good offenses, and the Lions are certainly that. But there are more mouths to feed than I care to get involved with. Amon-Ra St. Brown will get his, whether catching touchdowns or throwing them. Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery will continue to produce on the ground, and in Week 4, it looked like Detroit made a conscious effort to get Sam LaPorta involved once again.
If this Lions fantasy core wasn't so youthful, Williams could carve a more significant role for himself. The truth is, St. Brown is 24 and isn't going anywhere. LaPorta is 23, and Gibbs is just 22.
Suppose you can't get a good return on Williams via trade. Well, he still is a solid flex option with the ability to pop off any given week. Right now, you can deal Williams for a George Pickens, Chris Godwin, or Kyren Williams-type player — a player who offers a little more weekly consistency.

Buy the Dip
Tank Dell, WR, Houston Texans (-14)
Previous rank: 45
Current rank: 59
Fantasy managers are a lot like goldfish sometimes. They have short memories. Unless a player does them wrong, we tend to hold a grudge. With Tank Dell, since he has been out with an injury, we may have forgotten how good he is.
With Nico Collins ascending into the elite tier of wide receivers and Stefon Diggs producing, now is the time to put out an offer for Dell. Last season, Dell averaged 15 fantasy points per game, finishing with 20 or more fantasy points in four of the 10 games he participated in.
Happy Tank Dell Tuesday
— big ounce (@_bigounce) October 1, 2024
Dell has seen 17 targets in three games this season, catching nine for 102 yards. There is some concern about the decrease in targets per route run since the Texans added Diggs, but we are playing the long game here with Dell. Give Diggs a couple of seasons; he'll be elsewhere once more.
In a PPR league, if you are looking to acquire Dell, I'm willing to offer a late first-round pick in 2025. That said, you may be able to acquire his services for a second or even a player like Josh Jacobs, Travis Kelce, or Amari Cooper.
