ANALYSIS: Washington Nationals outfield prospect Dylan Crews has begun to find his footing at Double-A this season after getting off to a slow start in April. Due to the recent surge at the plate, Crews could push to make his major league debut in the second half of the season.

Through his first extended look at Double-A pitching this season, the former number two overall pick has posted a .258/.329/.435 line with three home runs, 28 RBI, and nine stolen bases in 34 games. Crews logged 20 games in Double-A at the end of the last summer and posted a .208/.318/.278 line.
In April, it looked like last season’s struggles carried over as he was riding a .224/.296/.367 line and 3:20 BB:K ratio after the first month. However, since May 1, the former LSU Tiger has posted a strong .280/.349/.480 line and a much improved 8:16 BB:K ratio.

As the number seven prospect in baseball, Dylan Crews has proven his ability to bounce back from challenges. His recent high-level performance is a strong indicator that he will continue to excel. With a potential move to Triple-A Rochester in the coming months, an August major league debut seems quite possible.
Crews should already be rostered in all keeper and dynasty leagues, but he is worth adding in NL-only redraft formats for the time being. Once he reaches Triple-A, he will enter the must-stash territory.
