BALLER MOVE: Target in Late Rounds in Deep League or Monitor on Waiver Wire (Current ADP 160, TE: 25)
ANALYSIS: Dwayne Allen has been a seriously overlooked commodity in the tight end space this draft season with an ownership of 1%. Representing one half of the Colts two tight end sets they plan to run often this year, Allen offers a significant amount of upside, especially in the end zone over his counterpart Colby Fleener. In his only game of action last year before a season ending hip injury, Allen had a single reception and a TD as he entered his sophomore season after catching 45 balls for 521 yards as a rookie.
As some of us wonder what could have been in 2013, reports out of camp this year could indicate good things for 2014, as Allen is healthy and ready to take on a large role on this offense. Also in case you missed it, Allen was nicknamed “Robocop” by his coach earlier this preseason as he had this to say: "Dwayne is like RoboCop, a big ball of muscle working the hashes and stretching the middle of the field". If Andrew Luck can stay protected, you could have RoboCop patrolling your TE spot (who wouldn't want that?) and doing some very nice things as a receiver in 2014, especially in that sweet spot known as the end zone.
