This week NASCAR heads to the Lone Star state for the Duck Commander 500 from Texas Motor Speedway. After an intense short track battle at Martinsville we get back to Intermediate track racing with a 1.5 mile Quad Oval. There is 24° banking in the corners and multiple lanes across the track, creating great opportunities for passing. The success of the new rules package will again be on display and should only enhance the race for both the drivers and the fans!
This will be the first night race of the year taking place on Saturday. Qualifying will get under way on Friday afternoon followed by final practice later on in the day. This will be a race where we can find some value in guys who have a poor qualifying run but shoe speed in final practice. Stay tuned!

Daily Fantasy NASCAR: DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks
Jimmie Johnson - $10,400
It would be very brave to fade the #48 team this week. He has won the last three and five of the last 10 races here at Texas. In those 10 races he has finished inside the Top 10 in eight races and has a 6.0 average and led 905 laps which by far the most of any driver. It has been a terrific start to the 2016 season for Jimmie as he has already recorded two wins and looked dominate both on the track and in the pit. He came ff the truck fast as he was 6th fastest in first practice but qualified 11th providing some place differential upside.
Brad Keselowski - $9,600
Another driver who has already picked up a win this season who is very unlikely to be satisfied. Keselowski is a very solid intermediate track driver who has loved the new rules package. It fits right into his aggressive style of driving. He will get his first crack at Texas with the new package and he comes back with some nice track history. In the last 10 races he has tallied four Top 5's, six Top 10's and a 12.0 average finish. Look for Brad to contend for his first Texas win.
Martin Truex Jr. - $8,700
He comes with incredible value as the 10th ranked golfer when looking at DraftKings salary. He came out flying on Thursday and was fastest in the first practice and followed that up on Friday qualifying 3rd for the race Saturday night. When looking at the last five year(10 races) here at Texas, Truex ranks 9th in track history with a Top 5, five Top 10's and a 13.2 average finish. Make sure to check final practice results to make sure they keep speed as they prepare for the race and if they do he is safe in all formats.
Kasey Kahne - $7,900
He makes a terrific GPP play as he should come in lower owned with the group of options in the same price range. He is in no way safe as he just can't seem to finish a race with any kind of acceptable result. He was fast in Vegas but could only manage a 10th place finish and only has one other Top 20(Daytona 500) this season. He is going to break through and it could be as early as this week. If so, he comes with nice place differential upside.
Brian Vickers - $5,500
His salary finally increased from minimum salary which is probably a good thing as the ownership was going through the roof. He still presents value at a mid $6K price tag and has a Top 5 and two Top 10 finishes here in his last five races in Texas. He looks to be getting more comfortable each and followed 13th place finish at Fontana with a 7th place last weekend at Marinsville. Look for the nice run to continue as he was 5th fastest in practice #1 and qualified 13th for the race.
