ANALYSIS: New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye has played well since taking over as the starter. The former North Carolina star has averaged 1.5 passing touchdowns and 16.9 fantasy points per game in his four starts despite leaving the Week 8 win over the New York Jets because of a concussion.
However, the rookie returned last week against the Tennessee Titans and had a strong fantasy performance. Maye completed 70.7% of his pass attempts for 206 yards, a touchdown, and 15.7 fantasy points.
He had eight rushing attempts for 95 yards last week, setting career highs in both categories. Furthermore, the former North Carolina star had an impressive game-tying touchdown pass at the end of regulation.

Unfortunately, fantasy players should only start Maye in deeper superflex leagues as a QB2 this week. The rookie faces an elite Chicago Bears defense that has held quarterbacks to only 10.3 fantasy points per game, the fewest in the NFL. They have given up 6.9 or fewer fantasy points to quarterbacks in 62.5% of their matchups this year.
