DraftKings NCAA Tournament CBB DFS Lineup Picks For 3/25/23 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

Drew Timme - CBB DFS Picks, NCAA Daily College Fantasy Basketball

We have just eight teams left with a shot at the National Championship. UConn and Gonzaga have been here before. K-State and Florida Atlantic are the outcasts. None of the one or two seeds made it to the Regional Finals, so we're going to have some fun here!

This is the first NCAA Tournament EVER with no number 1 seeds in the Elite Eight. Parity is alive and well in college basketball! The Owls and Wildcats tip off first from the Garden with UConn and Gonzaga taking the court in Sin City for the nightcap.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on March 25, 2023, starting at 6:09 pm Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Markquis Nowell, Kansas State ($9,600)

Even deep-field GPPs are like cash games when you have just two games going. You have to get weird to get different, but you also have to use some players that everyone else is using. Nowell has by far the highest ceiling after he put up a game for the ages on Thursday. Reports say that his ankle should be good to go and after the show he put on at the Garden on Thursday, I believe it. Nowell is a capable scorer and the best passer we've seen in quite a while. Plug him into your lineups and watch the show!

Tristen Newton, Connecticut ($6,200)

UConn plays a lot like an NBA team and they don't really have a superstar among the guard corps. Hawkins can put up points in a hurry when he gets hot. Andre Jackson does a lot of stuff that doesn't show up on the stat sheets or DFS points, so he doesn't always work for us. Newton doesn't rely on scoring to have a good DFS night. He has piled up 13 rebounds and 18 assists along with 23 points in three tournament games so far.

Cam Carter, Kansas State ($4,500)

Nowell is going to get most of the credit for the win on Thursday, but the Wildcats had a lot of players that stepped up big. One of those was Carter. He played 37 minutes with Desi Sills in foul trouble and eventually fouling out, stacking up 12 points and six rebounds. This game was a bit of an aberration for Carter as he only averages 14.6 DraftKings points per game. However, you need minutes to get chances and Carter has been getting those in most games.

Also consider: Julian Strawther, Gonzaga ($7,800); Johnell Davis, Florida Atlantic ($7,500); Jordan Hawkins, Connecticut ($6,300); Nick Boyd, Florida Atlantic ($5,700); Malachi Smith, Gonzaga ($4,300) Brandon Weatherspoon, Florida Atlantic ($3,800)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Drew Timme Gonzaga ($9,100)

Timme torched UCLA on Thursday night and is going to be a problem for UConn as well. Sanogo will have his hands full with either Timme, Watson, or both. That's the only thing keeping me from going all-in with Timme here. The biggest stars shine brightest in the biggest moments, so I'm leaning toward Timme. There isn't enough value to use both of them, which likely won't be optimal anyway.

Nae'Qwan Tomlin, Kansas State ($6,500)

Tomlin is a tough guy to defend since he is tall and very athletic. Tomlin is averaging a shade under 12 points per game in March while keeping up his strong rebounding numbers. The Wildcats have had many players step up big come tournament time, but Tomlin's offensive revolution couldn't have come at a better time for K-State. His size is going to be a problem for FAU and his rim protection is going to loom large in this game as well just as it did on Thursday.

Ismael Massoud, Kansas State ($4,000)

He and Tomlin are the only holdovers for Kansas State from last year. Massoud isn't always heavily involved, but when his shot is on, he is instant offense. Massoud hit four triples in the win on Thursday, racking up a season-high 15 points. He's a risk because Massoud is only a shooter. If you want a cash guy, go with N'Guessan. He does more than just shoot, but Massoud's upside is higher.

Also consider: Anton Watson, Gonzaga ($8,000); Adama Sanogo, Connecticut ($7,900); Alex Karaban, Connecticut ($6,000); David N'Guessan, Kansas State ($4,400)
