Hey! You can't fall asleep yet! There's still college football going on and still money to be won in DFS! It's not over until WE say it is! Are you with me? Let's finish Week 2 of the last great college football season the right way!
Hawaii is the only one slumming with one of college's great mascots (the Great Danes of Albany) visiting the Islands. The other three games all start at the same time and we have some good ones! Arizona State hosts Oklahoma State. Auburn heads all the way out to Berkeley to take on Cal and USC hosts Stanford.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/9/23, locking at 10 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Caleb Williams, USC ($9,900)
Fade at your own risk. Caleb Williams has nine touchdowns and only one turnover (a fumble) in the first two games. He is going to be very popular here against Stanford. If Stanford manages to hang around (which is possible against this defense), Williams could break the slate. I can't fade that kind of upside. I feel like he needs to be in any build.
Brayden Schager, Hawaii ($6,600)
Hawaii isn't going to change who they are just because of a (perceived) inferior opponent. Brayden Schager has 706 passing yards against two Power Five (Vanderbilt and Stanford) opponents to open the season. It feels like all but a certainty that it will happen against Albany as well.
Also consider: Jaden Rashada, Arizona State ($8,600); Reese Poffenbarger, Albany ($5,400)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Jaydn Ott, California ($6,500)
Isaiah Ifanse's three rushing touchdowns against North Texas resulted in a big DFS day, but Jayden Ott still tallied double the carries that Ifanse had and went for 188 yards on the ground. It's going to be tougher yardage against Auburn, but I still think Ott has a strong day. If you can only afford Ifanse, there is a little more risk, but his work in the passing game gives him a solid floor.
Cameron Skattebo, Arizona State ($5,800)
It was nice to see Cameron Skattebo 1) score a touchdown and 2) catch four passes. He was a big part of the offense that is only going to get better as Rashada gets more comfortable. I wasn't impressed with Oklahoma State at all in the opener. They are trying to patch a lot of holes and no one has really stepped up. Skattebo got enough carries to be considered a workhorse. I'm really liking him at this price.
Also consider: Jarquez Hunter, Auburn ($6,900); Tylan Hines, Hawaii ($5,100)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Tahj Washington, USC ($7,000)
There are lots of mouths to feed for Caleb Williams, but he is feeding Washington more. Tahj Washington has five receptions for 160 yards and a pair of touchdowns over the first two games. That Stanford secondary hasn't looked very good against Vanderbilt and Hawaii so far. It's going to be a long night at the Coliseum for the Cardinal.
Pofele Ashlock, Hawaii ($5,700)
Pofele Ashlock has been a force for the Warriors so far. He has 15 receptions already for 241 yards and three touchdown receptions. The opponent may change, but Ashlock's output likely will not. He's still too cheap. Despite the favorable matchup, I think Ashlock is still my favorite receiver on the slate.
Benjamin Yurosek, Stanford ($4,800)
Benjamin Yuroseck opened the season with nine receptions for 138 yards and a score against Hawaii. The seasoned tight end might be the best receiver on Stanford's roster and should definitely be the most targeted against the Trojans. I'm not sure USC can cover him well enough.
Also consider: Xavier Guillory, Arizona State ($6,100); Jeremiah Hunter, California ($6,000); Brennan Presley, Oklahoma State ($5,800); Roy Alexander, Albany ($4,200); Jaden Bray, Oklahoma State ($4,000)
DraftKings CFB Stacks:
Hawaii
The Warriors are reasonably priced across the board and don't really run the ball. Schager is way too cheap. So is Ashlock for what he has done so far. I don't mind Tylan Hines since I think Hawaii will try to run more, but this is still not a run-first team. Stacking Schager with Ashlock, Steven McBride, and/or Alex Perry will likely be the way I lean.
Also consider: USC, Arizona State
