Are you still awake? There's more college football to be played! You can't give up yet! It's not over until WE say it is! We still have an entertaining end to our first massive college football Saturday. Let's finish this day off right!
Both games are in the desert. We get to see one of last year's most exciting teams in action against a New Mexico team that managed to snatch defeat against Montana State last week. We end the night up the road in Tempe with Wyoming in town.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/31/24, locking at 10:30 p.m. EDT. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks
Sam Leavitt, Arizona State ($8.1K)
With the Sam Leavitt officially being named the game 1 starter against Wyoming, ASU’s opening day starter will not be wearing #5 for the first time since @MikeBerco wore #2 in 2015. Manny Wilkins, Jayden Daniels, Emory Jones, and Jaden Rashada all wore 5 from 2016-2023. pic.twitter.com/DoNNwfTsVE

We don't really know what to expect out of the Michigan State transfer, but he can't be any worse than what the Sun Devils put up with last year. Wyoming's defense wasn't as strong last year as it has been. This should be a pretty close game as opposed to Arizona's scrimmage against New Mexico.
Evan Svoboda, Wyoming ($7.5K)
Svoboda would rather run than throw. It shouldn't matter what he does. Both were sore spots for the ASU defense last year. If you're running a two-quarterback lineup, I prefer the two from the game that should remain closely contested.
Also consider: Noah Fifita, Arizona ($9.5K); Devon Dampier, New Mexico ($6.3K)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs
Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Arizona ($6.8K)
It's a revenge game in his first game at his new school. Croskey-Merritt was the starting RB for New Mexico last year and he was the lone bright spot on a pretty bad team. Now he gets to see what it's like to be good on a good team. Between him and San Jose State transfer Quali Conley, Arizona might not miss Jonah Coleman at all!
DJ Jones, Wyoming ($5K)
Harrison Waylee suffered a "significant" knee injury during camp, so Jones moved to the head of the class. The North Carolina transfer couldn't break into the rotation there, but he'll have the backfield almost to himself to start the season. This is a great matchup for him to showcase his talents.
Also consider: Quali Conley, Arizona ($6.1K); Cam Skattebo, Arizona State ($5.8K)
DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers
Tetairoa McMillan, Arizona ($7.9K)
It's not a stretch to say that McMillan was a top-3 receiver in college last year. Just look at how strong the WR class was in this year's draft. McMillan can hang with all of them. He won't get a heavy workload tonight, but his ceiling is still massive...too massive to fade.
Tetairoa McMillan is a freak athlete?

Luke Wysong, New Mexico ($5.9K)
We got a look at the Lobos last week and Wysong was easily the most targeted receiver on the team. With the Lobos likely falling behind early in this one, look for Wysong to be featured prominently once again.
Trace Bruckler, New Mexico ($4.3K)
The tight end is a quarterback's best friend when he's running for his life all day (as Dampier will be against that Arizona defense). Don't count on Bruckler to find the end zone again, but he should see enough targets to pay off this price.
Also consider: Montana Lemonious-Craig, Arizona ($4.8K); Xavier Guillory, Arizona State ($4K); Melquan Stovall, Arizona State ($3.8K)
DraftKings CFB Stacks
Arizona
The Fifita-McMillan connection is undeniable. Don't forget about former New Mexico back Jacory Croskey-Merritt either!
Also consider: Wyoming, Arizona State
