DraftKings and FanDuel Goalies - NHL DFS Picks
Jordan Binnington - DK $7.4K || FD $7.4K
Opponent - Minnesota Wild
The goalie market tonight is less than appealing at best with Jordan Binnington spearheading the player pool. Once again, Binnington is in the top-two goalies for expected saves per 60 on the slate, with 33. Throughout his last five starts, he has a 3-2 record with a 1.98 Goals Against Average and a 0.943 Save Percentage.
Furthermore, over the last 10 respective games for all clubs, Binnington is the sixth-best goalie in Goals Saved Above Expected Per 60. Minnesota is hurting without center Joel Eriksson Ek and it was very obvious in the mediocre 2-0 win over Anaheim on Thursday night. If Binnington can dial in early, he could easily hold Minnesota to one goal.
Others To Consider (Cash/GPP):
- Swayman (DK $8.3K || FD $8.6K)
- Saros (DK $7.7K || FD $8K)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NHL DFS Picks
J.T. Miller - DK $7.4K || FD $8.8K
Opponent - Washington Capitals
Miller could very well set a few records this season after he set a new career high in goals in a season with 33 goals this season. In the center’s last five games, he has three goals, two assists, 10 shots, and four blocked shots. The Capitals are currently enduring a major roller coaster of form, most recently securing a hard-fought 2-1 win at Seattle.
However, their defense and goaltending are still suspect at best, sitting in the bottom 10 in both High Danger Chances Against Per 60 and Goals Against Per 60. Miller will have plenty of opportunities in this matchup and he is expected to register at least one point and two shots.
Evgeny Kuznetsov - DK $3.1K || FD $4.8K
Opponent - Toronto Maple Leafs
Once a part of a two-punch offense with ex-teammate Alex Ovechkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov finds himself on a team well set up for the Stanley Cup playoffs. In his first four games with the Hurricanes, Kuznetsov has one goal, 10 shots, and one blocked shot. Even though he only has one point in four games -- scored his first goal last game -- Kuznetsov is set up for plenty of success. Barely sitting above the minimum salary on DraftKings, he can easily surpass value tonight.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):
- Draisaitl (DK $8K || FD $9.5K)
- Hintz (DK $6.3K || FD $6.5K)
DraftKings and FanDuel Wings - NHL DFS Picks
Martin Necas - DK $5.6K || FD $6.1K
Opponent - Toronto Maple Leafs
Staying with the Hurricanes, we have winger Martin Necas. Necas is the more ‘affordable’ winger of the two who plays with the aforementioned Evgeny Kuznetsov. In Necas’ four games since Kuznetsov and other linemate Jake Guentzel joined, he has two goals, 14 shots, and one blocked shot.
When assessing Necas’ shot volume, Kuznetsov is not a big worry. However, Guentzel could eventually eat into the volume. Despite there being more mouths to feed, this is arguably the best talent that Necas has played with all season. Even if he does not maintain high shot volume moving forward, his chances of producing a point are much greater, making up for the lack of shots. At almost two thousand less dollars compared to winger Jake Guentzel, Necas is the preferred option at a similar ceiling.
Alex Nylander - DK $5K || FD $4.9K
Opponent - San Jose Sharks
Unfortunately, Nylander is making it into the article after a massive salary hike. Fortunately, he has a tremendous matchup tonight. The Blue Jackets may be struggling defensively still; however, their offense is starting to click with newcomer Alex Nylander entering the fold.
The winger has two goals, 20 shots, and two blocked shots in his last five outings. San Jose is a barren wasteland at this point, sitting in the bottom 10 in both Shots Against Per 60 and Scoring Chances Against Per 60 and they are the second worst in Goals Against Per 60, all in their last 10 games, excluding splits. No better time than now for Nylander to continue his tremendous form.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):
- Robertson (DK $6.2K || FD $7.5K)
- Miroshnichenko (DK $2.7K || FD $3.3K)
DraftKings and FanDuel Defensemen - NHL DFS Picks
Cam York - DK $4.6K || FD $5.1K
Opponent - Boston Bruins
“With great play, comes a great amount of peripherals.” This is exactly what is being looked for tonight. York has the perfect chance to deliver quality performances both offensively and defensively. Over the last five appearances, he has three assists, 11 shots, and 16 blocked shots. In a matchup against Boston, York is expected to take at least one shot and block three shots.
Daniil Miromanov - DK $3.2K || FD $3.8K
Opponent - Montreal Canadiens
The ex-Golden Knight and now Flame is loving his new team and new role. Miromanov is on the second pairing for Calgary and now quarterbacks the first power play unit for Calgary. This has led to him producing one goal, 12 shots, and six blocked shots in four games. In a friendly matchup at home against Montreal, anything is possible for the two-way defenseman.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):
- Werenski (DK $6.3K || FD $7K)
- McDonagh (DK $3.7K || FD $4.5K)
