NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 04/26/24
"I absolutely love the NHL playoffs, and I think the first round is the most exciting. The games are fast-paced and aggressive, and the coaches are always making strategic moves to match up their players. all the series have now switched cities so we get new matchups to try and exploit.

Opponent - New York Rangers
The Capitals must win this game to avoid falling behind 3-0 in the series. Although the Rangers usually perform better at home, they have a tendency to underperform at times. One can only hope that tonight's game is one of those times.

Ryan O'Reilly - DK $5.1K || FD $6.3K
Opponent - Vancouver Canucks
O'Reilly and his team were on fire during the playoffs, especially when playing at home. In their last 10 home games, they had an expected goals per 60 minutes (XGF/60) of 3.74, 15.02 high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes (HDCF/60), and a remarkable 45.05 shots on goal per 60 minutes (SF/60). They are a wagon on home ice and may be overlooked tonight. On the other hand, the Canucks had a strong season, but they may struggle tonight without their star player Thatcher Demko.

Adrian Kempe - DK $6.1K || FD $8.0K
Opponent - Edmonton Oilers
The Kings managed to win game 2 against the Oilers, giving them a road split. They are now back home for game 3, which means that Kempe and the Kings' top line will have the advantage of the last change, allowing them to take on the Oilers' bottom 6. Kempe was a key player in game 2, scoring two goals and taking 12 shots throughout the first two games. Along with Anze Kopitar and Alex LaFerriere, he is expected to be a difference-maker for the Kings tonight as they look to secure a 2-1 lead in the series!

"We need to find value as always, and in this spot, I love Gustafsson. He has the ability to exploit the lack of depth in the Capitals team. Gustafsson is a gifted offensive defenseman with a pass-first mentality, as proven by his two assists in game 2. While his floor may not be ideal for cash games, his ceiling at his price point provides an excellent opportunity to score big in DFS tonight. If you're looking for a defenseman under 3K on DraftKings or 4K on Fan Duel, Gustafsson would be my first choice."
